Analysis
We’re heading into the final week of the contest and while there are some matches people are talking about this is not one of them. After watching Mario and Bowser destroy Sonic and Dr. Robotnik I don’t think anyone is giving this pseudo-Nintendo pair a chance. Then again I don’t think anyone was in the first place.
We’ve seen what Mario can do to regular Mega Man in the previous contest and we all saw what Link did to him this contest, but I think people are going a little overboard on the blowout. While I do feel that Mega Man X is noticeably weaker than Mega Man this rivalry is a lot better than what Mega Man and Sonic had plus Zero has some strength as well. Only reason Sub-Zero and Scorpion did so well was because they too have an incredible rivalry.
Mario and Bowser should still pick up some SFF and should be able to break 60%, but I don’t see it being the doubling that a lot of people are predicting. The rivalry between the two is just too good and not to say Mario and Bowser are weak in the rivalry department, but a performance like some people are predicting would make me feel that they may have a chance at winning the contest even with the possibility of SFF being there.
