The Black Dahlia Murder - Moonlight Equilibrium

Hey it's another song I've been suggested before. And yeah, as you expected...not a fan. Riffs are kind of dull and I don't like this guitar tone much when it's getting way too squeaky. This type of higher pitched vocals don't work for this kind of music really, the deeper vocals at least don't bother me. Breakdownish section in the middle bugs me, I think that's about all I can specifically say.

Why not? Might as well post music you like, unless getting a 10 means you win some cash money or something. =P Actually that would be pretty rad.

Within Temptation - A Demon's Fate

Getting a 10 would be kind of tough, given that the only two songs I'd give that rating to are ones I've already mentioned :)

Cheesy keyboard stuff and really dull guitars, you're throwing out stuff solely to provoke me now, aren't you? >_> I feel like this singer could probably be good if she were in a band that didn't suck, she has a fairly nice voice even if I dislike what she's doing with it here.

Nothing wrong with the metal board. Just take criticism in stride and ask for recommendations when they blast your music and they seem like a fun loving bunch of helpful folk~

I don't really have anything in mind-- just felt like it'd give more credibility for an outsider to speak for the metal board.

(I'd be more interested in your tastes in non metal as for the most part the only metal I like is more melodic stuff or things from guys like Dissection and Bathory that practically everyone likes over there.)

I'm more a metal guy than anything else, next biggest thing for me is prog rock, Rush and King Crimson being my favourites. In general I enjoy listening to a lot of music but it's rare I feel myself compelled to actually seek out or remember stuff that's not metal or older prog rock.

Skepticism - The Gallant Crow

Drags on. And on. And on. Kind of nice for a little while but it just never ever goes anywhere. There's repetition that builds something, and then there's repetition that makes me wonder if I'm stuck in a time loop. At least it's a fairly pleasant shade of boring.

Equilibrium - Snuffel

I feel like this is a cheesy folk metal band, wonder how close my memory comes to the truth...okay, I was pretty on the money, expected the melodic death metal with an "epic" chorus style and that's what I got. Anything close to folk metal that isn't Skyclad or Primordial is not getting the band on my Christmas list. Not that I have a Christmas list, and if I did it's not like I'd be sending cards to random bands whose members I don't personally know, but you get what I mean, I hope.

Cloven Hoof - Astral Rider

The first few seconds piss me off for some reason I can't put my finger on <_< Then we get into some solid old school heavy metal and I'm happy, although I'm not fond of this chorus.
