There is a bonfire in Lost Izalith. There's an illusory wall in one of those square buildings near the end of the lava.

Directly across from the tree-root you need to climb up to get to the boss, in that square building in the lava.
well that explains it, since I didn't go into the lava! I did just now though, it was horrible at first but then I realized those dragon butts where hurting each other so after that I just shot arrows at all the dragons I could see from a save spot and watch the carnage unfold.
also don't worry murphiroth, crystal cave sucks even when you're sober!
