That's not really the same, because those games were meaningless for the Yankees. But good luck to Cliff Lee- you know, no player is obligated to play for the Yankees even if they offer him absurd amounts of money. You don't have a right to buy players.
Of course it's the same! Red Sox fans were cheering for the Yankees! Yankees fans were taunting Red Sox fans because their own team got swept in its final regular season series! It was madness!
