OK, then, because it sounded like you were blaming the Red Sox missing the playoffs because of games in April rather than calling it a collective failure of failureness.
The reason I point to September is because its when they clearly played their worst ball of the season, and it was over a long period of time. I don't really focus on individual games because in MLB, every team wins 50 games and loses 50 games, and its about what you do with the games in between.
ITT: People forget Boston starting 0-7 and 2-11 or whatever it was.
