I didn't say he would resist it, did I? I said if Jesse didn't use a lethal command right away then Time Trapper Prime knows what his power is and knows he has to neutralize him as quickly as possible, which means unless Jesse somehow KNOWS that he needs to use a lethal command immediately and end the fight without having any prior knowledge of his opponent, his using the Word of God is just as likely to work against him.
If he tells TTP "go **** yourself" that will give him enough time to do as many commands as he wishes. The issue isn't if a command can shut TTP down because it will - it's whether Jesse will even get a chance to talk.
