I've forgotten to do this topic in a long while so every movie I've seen in theaters since September!!!
Moneyball - 10/10. Who says you can't be romantic about Sabermetrics?
Puss in Boots 3D - 8/10. Surprisingly good. It was like an animated Antonio Banderas Zorro movie and not Shrek-shlock.
Drive - 4.5/10. It's something I definitely would see again to make a second opinion, but we mocked heavily after leaving the theater. And still do so. A REAL HUMAN BEING!
The Ides of March - 3.5/10. A good movie, I guess, but when it hit its dark moments, it felt... silly. Or something. It was just obvious in some aspects and not satisfyingly resolved.
The Muppets - 9/10. Saw it twice, loved it. Some songs and moments didn't fit well (Party of One in particular and the tied-in-a-bow ending was awesome live, but doesn't sit as well months later), but most of it worked out really really well.
Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows - 9/10. Witty, action-packed, well-paced, better than the first.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - 6.5/10. I left enjoying it (unlike Drive and Ides), but it was still a wonky movie. Enjoyed it well enough.
Haywire - 8/10. I'm extremely surprised it hasn't been selling well and audiences hate it. I thought it was kickass. A good story, a good turnabout, excellent excellent action scenes. It felt like Bourne without the damn shaky cam. ...Maybe it helps that I was fifteen minutes late into the movie itself? The scenes I missed sound kinda stupid for set-up after reading Wikipedia's description. But fun movie!
