AK's IPA isn't that good, as IPAs go. . Not a bad brewery otherwise, though. I've heard of Granville Island, though I've never had the occasion to drink it. I do know that it's not really a "local brew" - it was Canada's first microbrewery - and that Molson Coors owns it as of... recently.

Rickard's sounds familiar. I want to say that's the name Blue Moon goes by in Canada, but I could be mistaken.

Well I said local because I haven't seen it anywhere other than the coast. I mean it doesn't even make it as far as Alberta, so I figured it was just a Vancouver thing. Never seen Blue Moon up here, but Rickard's White is alright... I don't like it nearly as much as the Red though.

Ugh, not a fan of the AK IPA at all -- one of my bottom tier beers. Their red is decent though. Rickard`s Red is definitely the go to tap beer for restaurants around here that don`t have local stuff. (Okanagan-Shuswap, interior BC)

Granville is owned by Molson? Never knew that. I'm particularly fond of their winter ale and their raspberry ale they have out right now. Rest of their stuff is decent, but I'd go for other things over them. Rickard's is owned by Molson as well, IIRC. Might be why it's familar.
