I've read Dark Knight Returns, and let me tell ya, Bane isn't in there! In fact, DKR came out before Bane was even created!

Looking at everything past Wildcats 3.0, and Authority V1, it looks like Wildstorm became one big cluster**** of delays, cancelled books, reboots, and constantly changing creative teams, starting to understand why it got melted into DC proper.
Pretty much! What started as an edgy, alternative superhero line, became just another superhero line that no one really cared about!
