I believe what killed Miz and Swagger's careers was creative going "nah, these guys ain't main eventers" and pushing them down the ladder.
Winning MitB is only the kiss of death if creative MAKES it the kiss of death. If the guys like Ziggler, and he wins MitB, then he'll be fine. Plenty of guys have won MitB and had fine careers.
It CEMENTED Miz as one of their top merch movers. Hes only out of the spotlight temporarily.
Swaggers push came out of NOWHERE and then dissipated because it was undeserved.
