more thoughts...
HMs... i missed strength entirely! i don't think surf was even required to beat the game.
type weighting... there was a relative dearth of quality water pokemon in this game, which surprised me - i'd assumed that it would be necessary to have a water type to get through it all, which is why i incorporated carracosta, but it saw very little action... panpour also got the 'just-not-useful-enough' cut early on.
B/W2... i am interested in doing some of the endgame stuff of B/W before reading up on this. will shamelessly use a guide though.
