That picture is ****ing stupid and there is no reason to act like this is an "either/or" situation. They are both important causes and I hope that Sarkeesian is able to use those funds to surround herself with the right people so that she is actually able to get her point across in a way that will cause people to see that there still is a problem with how females are portrayed in media.

But honestly my only real problem with what Sarkeesian did was play this huge victim card with the project. Yes, a bunch of middle and high school little boys made absurd comments and threats to her (btw this has never happened in internet history ever). She claims she normally deletes these comments with her other videos, but kept them up this time for this kickstarter....to me it comes across as asking for sympathy money. I dont think that is very....ethical.
To be honest I wish more women would actually enter computer science and try and make their own games that depict women and men the way they want. It would probably be better for the industry as a whole and create more ideas. Roberta Williams is a legend in my book and would easily make it into my "video game hall of fame".
