To be honest you should just sell everything you're not going to use. Nothing you can craft in Normal is worth the investment or time. Once you can upgrade your Blacksmith fully you can start tinkering around because the next patch is lowering the price and material cost of higher end stuff.
I spent a good 5-6 hours just re-running Act 3 with my WD so I could farm up Magic Items and tinker with crafting so that my Monk could use the stuff but it's literally a crapshoot because you can't see what stats you're getting.
