Football's death would be because its becoming increasingly dangerous for a players health.
Actually, football nowadays is a lot safer than it used to be (Still not good for your health or anything, of course). So saying it's becoming "increasingly dangerous" is a big misnomer.
If you really think football will ever die over players health, you're really overestimating how many people care that football players go through this kind of thing.
