And the 3DS' success in Japan can be largely attributed to Monster Hunter. That won't be eternal.
Monster Hunter almost single-handedly kept the PSP alive in Japan, so I'm not too certain.
And hell, the Monster Hunter game on the 3DS right now is a port of a port of Monster Hunter 3. Just imagine what will happen when MH4 comes out.
