anybody launching a console in 2012 is going to have day 1 digital releases. heck, the Vita has that and it's a portable system. the only issue would be the size of games since Microsoft and Sony are likely to adopt blu-ray. even then they'll probably have a digital option.
the notable part is that Nintendo is doing it as well instead of being so rigid and backwards thinking.
