What else is this generation other than post grad 20 something's raised on the Internet with all the information in the world but no clue as to how to use it.
The guys in the show are one dimensional but in the best way possible: they are cardboard cutouts used to express the women's personalities but also to set the stage for honest reflection. This will not be the first show/movie where a woman falls out of love with a man because he stopped acting like one( see: blue valentine). Nor will it be the first movie where a woman falls for a D Bag who ignores her and makes fun of her. But it is the first one where it is women admitting it at point blank range,whose sole purpose is to rub it right in your face sans pretense or facade. The show never makes it seem like these women are bad or immoral for their sex lives.
Refreshing. That would be the word to describe it. HBO is killing it with female characters lately.
