I guess hint narrowed it down a bit far, didn't it. Kind of sucks that they botched up Maril's evolution so badly. I would have never thought that a watermouse would evolve into a water Easter bunny, but this is where we are. I also never really understood why Azurill managed to be a normal type, but I guess that's more or less irrelevant here. At least it managed UU placement, which is probably as good as you could expect from it. Admittedly it's the most tolerable of the Pikachu rehashes since it, you know, actually managed to be different. The only really fond memory that I have of the Marill line is that I remember going to the mall when the first Marill promo card was released and since they shipped way too many to our Borders I got 15 of them since they didn't know what they were doing. I still have a few in the shrink wrap today with some crappy insert about it. Azumarill is the lowest ranked Pokemon that I would give a 3/10.
EDIT: Oh, and I forgot about how Azurill can have a sex change when it evolves. Kind of a cool tidbit, but seriously, what the hell?
