No it's apparently been a religion for a while now. It's one of the many reasons I'm ashamed to associate myself with atheism.
I'm usually reluctant to tell people I meet that I'm an atheist. I usually just avoid religion altogether.
But if someone says "God bless you" to me, I will say thanks. If someone says Happy Easter or Merry Christmas, I will reciprocate. Etc.
Pretty much the same here. If someone wants to pray for me or whatever, it's just a nice thought to me. I'm not going to turn around and be an ass about it.
Neither of you are most atheists then (just speaking from personal experience)
