He's alienating his only remaining allies with every passing day, turning the party that got him elected and powerful foreign heads of state against him. It's almost like he's intentionally trying to cause chaos and rip the political fabric that holds this country and the world apart. Is there some ulterior motive here or is he really just an arrogant, narcissistic, egomaniac who views himself as a king? |

Do you think Kim constantly threatens the US with nuclear missiles just because he's a deranged psychopath who wants to cause worldwide destruction? No, he's a lot more rational than you think he is. He realizes that nuclear weapons are literally his ONLY deterrent to the US walking right in, overthrowing him, and ending his luxurious life of total rule over an entire nation. His constant saber rattling is less of the rambling of a deranged lunatic and more of a calculated strategy meant to ensure that America and its citizens are discouraged from ever trying to instigate war and toppling his regime. NK would never, ever, ever initiate a first strike against the US because they know it would mean their immediate and swift destruction. Kim's primary motivation is to do everything in his power to stay in power, not kill millions of people with nuclear weapons. However, I don't doubt for a second that he would use them if we went to war with them since it would basically be all or nothing for him by that point. That's why this is dangerous situation all around and there are no easy solutions. |
