BBest movement of any game before Sw/Sh, most improved sprite work and animations, a ton of small QoL improvements. I think it's probably better than gen 2 honestly. Gen 2 kinda sucks. Horrible level curve, my least favorite overworld map, underpowered pokemon from the new generation until endgame pretty much. Boring/dumb rocket plotline. I think ultimately, the fact that gen 6 is one of the best randomizers and gen 2 is one of the worst(even the remakes) definitely influences my decision. --- Official ANCIENT Killer. Game isn't bad, if it was slimmed down to the core it would be a pretty good game, but man there's a lot of superfluous sidequesting/gimmicks that really dragged the experience down for me. I would still give it like a 7.5, but it's not amazing. The boss fight gimmicks vary from, This is a fun boss fight with multiple fun phases to, I cannot believe they included this concept in the game multiple times, it kinda sucks.
