Having suicidal thoughts is a phase unless you do it. If youre truly considering suicide then youre mentally at the bottom. It cant get worse. You made it this far why give up on life? Life is a rollercoaster. It will go up eventually. I had a friend who killed himself because his wife cheated on him. I wish he didnt because I know hed be okay today if he was still alive.

If your living with chronic illness and pain it can quite certainly get worse, in fact you can eventually lose the ability to choose for yourself, be mobile etc. Things don't always bounce back, they don't always get better. Maybe it has for you, maybe it does for many, but you can't be sure that is the case or will be the case for everyone, or that everyone would even care if it did.

Why do people feel the need to dictate if a person should live or not, should that not be up to the individual? I get trying to ensure nobody makes sudden decisions because a GF dumpted them, or they lost a pagent, or got fired from a job etc. That 100% makes sense, but if a person, over a significant period of time, wants to cease to exist, why should we be able to say "No!! You must live!!!"

Life should be lived for a variety of reasons including enjoyment, making a difference in the world, family, accomplishments and growth in a career etc. If those have become.....impossible, and you feel like you can no longer make a positive difference in the world/society etc, if you don't actually have a purpose in life, and are in pain, emotional or otherwise, the choice of your continued existence should be totally and completely up to you, and while I don't think we should encourage others to off themselves, I think creating laws that make it hard for them to do so, locking them up if they attempt it etc, is wrong as well.

There is a whole different level of being tired. There is being tired of life, to such a degree, that even if something comes along that you could enjoy, that would be fun/enjoyable for most people, or that you could use to be happy again, you just don't have the energy to take advantage of it.

There is a level of tiredness where you don't really taste food anymore, don't really even really notice life passing, and just trudge through each day passing time while using as little energy as possible.

Once you are sick enough to no longer care about embarresment, when your in enough pain to long for sleep, when you can't concentrate enough to remember things, so nothing matters much after it's over. There are lots of reasons to get to a point where life seems meaningless and just an endless toil for no purpose.

Many of those don't go away, and in such a case, a person is not a coward, but is courageous for doing what is best for them, despite the stigma, the bodies natural instincts, and the chance of ending up in a worse situation, with less control.

Right to death should be as strongly supported and protected as the right to life. Nobody should be force to live if they choose not to. Yes, it should be an informed choice and not made suddenly, but if someone has a strong urge to cease existing for 6+ months, that should be an option. We are not at a point where we need to force people to exist for labor, for population expansion etc. If you do not want to continue to exist, you should have the option to cease doing so in a painless and peaceful manner.

I've attempted suicide multiple times, not half assed attempts full on ones where I should have died and for some reason the universe wouldn't let me.

Why?

Well it's a long story, but a very short version is, my dad left when I was 2 (and my brother was born), because he was not quiet like me. My mom was abused (supposedly by my dad and def by my grandmother) so didn't want to touch us or take care of us.She left me with my grandmother who held me under water, burned me, hit me, stuffed me in dark closest and eventually in a shed in Wickenburg AZ filled with spiders and webs (pitch black). She was a monster, and all I wished for was death at that point in my life.

I never fully recovered from that, it's hard to do so, even if you find things you enjoy in life etc, the fact that at one point you wished for death with all your heart doesn't go away. Also, as a survival method at the time, I sort of learned how to travel through time, to realize that no matter what was going on it would be over eventually.

That is a good survival mechanism but, it also kinda invalidates most other things in life, if you believe that you'll be at the end of your life one day and everything you have done will be gone in a blink of an eye, it's hard to care too much about anything, and if you get in a really bad part of your life again, suicide looks like a great idea.

I mostly survived by focusing on taking care of others, I was able to enjoy things because I was helping others enjoy them, and in the process having fun/enjoying things as well myself. For the most part that worked pretty well.

But many people have been in situations that are very hard to overcome and live with, and it certainly is not "weak" for them to end their lives if they get to tired, or things become to hard. Killing yourself is not easy (though some methods are obviously easier than others).

I have, for the most part, made a good impact in many peoples lives from staying around, and for that I am happy that I did so. I still would probably choose not to have been born despite all of that, if given the option, even though I realize that would cause much more suffering over all and be a negative to many peoples lives. I don't know what I would actually do in such a situation, but it would be very hard to resist.

The shear size of the universe basically makes it impossible for life to have not been created on other planets in the past, be on them now, and be created on them in the future.

Off the top of my head I think it's about 100billion solar systems in our galaxy and 2 trillion galaxies in our universe. There may be many ways for life to evolve in conditions other than that on earth that we don't know about, but the general conditions of earth, a temp that has water in a liquid state for instance, steady source of head, perhaps a moon for tides, would have to be at least fairly common (I mean we honestly have 3 planets in this system alone that could qualify for that, and a few moons).

I do believe it's highly likely travel at speeds faster than light is impossible, and that prevents long distance travel, even between solar systems, let alone galaxies, except with a few exceptions where solar systems are unually close together etc.

As far as intelligent life, there are different levels of intelligence and honestly the use of tools comes down to if those tools are needed by a species with enough intelligence to use them. Dinos sadly were not/did not evolve in a way that made using tools something they could easily do, therefore, if they didn't go instinct they would probably be much the same as they were right now.

As fast as humans evolved there could certainly be species, especially in far harsher environments, who evolved way faster. I would certainly say that it is FAR more likely that other life exists in the universe, and very likely that other intelligent life that can use tools exists, and has existed for longer than humanity has been around.

We are, over all, a very aggressive and potentially dangerous race, which in the long run will probably destroy itself and possible the planet around us. There are many other types of animals that might have evolved, even on our own planet, which are not so warlike, and while they might take FAR longer to evolve and advance technology (just because war often spurs technological advancements), they would easily have the time, because you know, they were not trying to kill each other.

Honestly if aliens did pop by, I wouldn't be surprised that they observed how we treated each other, and decided they wanted nothing to do with our race, found any instances of an ore or material that allows for faster than light space travel and took it with them, leaving us alone in our own solar system until we eventually die out. I don't even blame them if that is what they did, cause honestly, I think they were probably right.

While not a republican, if I was a republican, I would be seriously pissed and embarresed by Trump and his actions. Impeaching him, and voting later to prevent him from holding office again, protects republicans from the possibility of him doing more harm in the future.

Even if you love Trump and want to have his babies, you have to admit he hasn't been a good president for some/alot of republicans and that many would like to see him never take office again.

Honestly the fact that so many voted for him and still wanted him as president after the last 4 years just shows how insane our two party system is, if nothing else current presidents should still need to run against other republican options to ensure a majority of the party still wants them in office.

The downfall of socialism is limited resources combined with corruption. The more resources that are available, the more corruption it takes to destroy socialism and create a negative society.

Technology inherently makes socialism more successful, until eventually everyone should be able to live extremely good lives under a socialist society. At this time, in the US, socialism could increase the standard of living of a majority of citizens without negatively affecting almost anyone.

As robots and machines take over much of the menial work force, socialism is going to become almost mandatory, as a work based society will no longer make sense. The current most wealthy of the population will fight this as long as possible, because what is wealth if everyone has it (to them).

Capitalism is doomed down the road unless it is forced apon the people despite technological advances that could make it pointless. Due to wide spread education and information exchange, this is highly unlikely to happen as the masses will notice and not put up with it.

It's not up there with remaking The Princess Bride, but I honestly don't see how they could have improved on the first, and yeah, not impressed by their effort so far.

I mean, it's fine IF there wasn't already a really good adaptation, but there was, in fact, I would consider it the best conversion of a stephen king book to film so far.

Gotta see nick and larry (and nadine), but yeah, there was almost nowhere for them to go but down. First mini-series was a freaking 10 in my books. The soundtrack was freaking perfect, Randal Flag was...like the best freaking possible randal flag a real human without special effects etc could play.

Molly hit the sweet hometown girl out of the park, Gary made you feel the East Texas in Stu, The dude who played Larry was awesome, you can't beat max headroom as trashcan man, Nadine was also pretty damn good in her role, heck even the guy who played harold didn't suck. Nick by rob low was also a great cast.

Seriously, why would you make it over with so much win in the first one already?

The outpost is pretty good, the first 2 seasons are free on imbd freedive (with comercials), the thirs is on CW (with comericals) streaming live.

The third season isn't as good though, which is probably why nobody is watching it, although I do stream it.

Well, just one episode down, but so far the old stand seems much better even though it looks like it was significantly shorter.

First, the cast, so far, does not hold a candle to the previous cast.

Franny is almost dislikable in this one, Molly Ringwald was a great Fran, but honestly her character for the most part isn't THAT important. Sue Redmand though, Garry Cinese (sp) was freaking great as Stu, and this guy has none of his charisma.

Most of the first episode revolved around the above characters stories along with Harold (neither actor really stood out to me, though I did prefer the old harold slightly). The story was also more disjointed jumping around in time, and didn't involve some of the main characters at all.

If coming at it fresh, without having seen the previous one, I would say it is fairly decent. The problem is the original mini-series had a great sound track to draw you in, had a few really good actors playing main characters right from the start (Stu/Fran/Nick/Larry/Trashcan man/Nadine/floyd and of course Randal).

In the mini series you only really see stu/fran/harold for the first episode), you get a glimps at randal, but, I don't see any way he's gonna compare well with the Randal from the original (Jamey Sheridon was freaking awesome).

Also, it seems to be going a bit away from the books as well, changing things up a bit more, while the first was very true to the books, and in a weird twist, actually showed more of what happened in the books, even though this mini series is going to be longer.

Not impressed so far, but I was a big fan of the original. I'm keeping an open mind though and hope it'll draw me in. Hope they get a good actor for nick (not sure you can beat rob low), and honestly not sure about Whoopie as mother abigal yet.

Kinda happy?

I went into town today for the first in about a month. I hope I didn't get the virus. I went to safeway and stocked up big time, and then went to Papa murphies (making half the pizza right now!), and finally to arby's before coming home. That is alot of people I had contact with though, so i'm a bit nervous about the virus.

Safeway went well, got tons of good food for the near future and stocked up on canned goods.

Papa murphies is yum, can't wait to eat it (I cut it in two, leave half in the fridge for tomorrow...the NY ones for $10).

Arby's I had a 3$ off an order of $10, so I got their 2 for 6$ gyro special (can barely eat 2 gyros now) and got a free thing of 4 potaoe cakes to bring it up to 10$ (7$ after the deal). The gyros were yum.

Getting into a bored at home slump again, been mudding the last month which has worked but i'm starting to run out of things to do there again.....watch tv while mudding, so i'm pretty much outa stuff to watch on tv as well. UGH

But anyway today over all was ok.

I already returned it the controls suck, supposedly you can tweak things to improve them, but it didn't seem worth it to me. I'll look into it some year when it's on sale or something.

look, things were getting back towards normal a month ago, with many places having indoor eating again, gyms opening up etc. Masks were still required but we were on the way towards good progress before the numbers started to spike again, and that was without any kind of vaccine.

THIS month the vaccine should start going out for health care workers and emergency workers etc, and next month for the most high risk and elderly. It's highly likely that will drop the numbers drastically already, and by Feb the gen pops will start getting it.

So in the fairly short term we are looking at getting back on track to where we were a month or so again and then probably much faster/rapid progress after that.

While things wont go back to normal right away, i'm fairly confident that in 6 months we will see most of our freedoms returned, the ability to eat out, and masks may no longer be mandotory even by april or may. It will prob be that long before buffets are back as well, but 2021 will ....hopefully....be a year of recovery, while 2020 was a year of just plain hell.

The Virus vaccine works but has a long term side effect of causing complete lost of taste and smell. It's also spread
between people who have not had the vaccine and 95% of the worlds population can't taste food anymore.

Scientists come out with a concreate timeline showing the effects of global warming and the requirements needed to
prevent complete catastrophe within 20 years. This includes using only electric cars, cuts out 90% of the cattle market so beef is extremely expensive, and many luxuries are no longer produced because of the factories negative effects.

Trump refuses to leave office and causes a national civil war, which tanks the global markets, and sends the US into absolute chaos. This sparks many wars around the world, and China starts to expand in Europe.

Arby's,Poppeyes,Little Ceasars,Olive garden,KFC and many more chain restraunts and most private restraunts go bankrupt and close, permanenetly. Meanwhile food prices soar in the chaos over the revolution, people die of thirst and starvation in the cities, and canabalism starts to be a problem across the US.

Worst of all the cancel the second part of Season 5 of Lucifier.

So I have been noticing nats in my room for the last few days, not alot of them, and I just figured they got throught the sliding glass door.

I have a safeway deliver tonight though, so gathered my garbage to bring up the hill, and a paper bag I have by the door to the garage in my room, had a gnat flying over it!!

So, I looking in the paper bag (this was not supposed to be a garbage bag mind you) and saw a bowl that had broken (fallout out of the fridge) with food in it from at least 2 weeks ago!!!). There were gnats all over it.

The bowl broke late at night from the fridge in the garage, and I didn't remember it the next day (just put it in the bag to take up the day after as it was too dark/cold out). I totally and completely forgot about it until today.

Ugh, I hate that. So disguisting. It didn't smell or anything (it was just plain rice if I remember right, with some butter mixed in). The rice was green now after being in there so long though. And well, gnatty.

Can't believe I did that, worse I still see a gnat or two flying around my room, hopefully they will go away soon (ie die) since there is nomore food for them here.

I think initially he was styling it that way on purpose, and perhaps now he is trying to do the opposite, but his features are still fairly feminine.
