Imagine saying Dexit needed to happen because they can't code all the pokemon into one game and the game was made with basically one million dollar budget. Then that same game goes to sell 15 fucking million copies making nearly 1 billion dollars. (Talking about Arceus here) And people DIE ON THE HILL, screeching for game freak saying they just CAN'T they CAN'T MAN. And proceed to eat the freaking shovel ware that these people obviously continuously put out.

Absolute insanity. Pokemon fans are pathetic for allowing dexit to happen and making excuses for it. What a fucking disappointment.

I've always said game freak had no budget excuse for their games considering they're the number 1 biggest franchise in the world bigger than mickey mouse and star wars COMBINED. I just can't believe this is how little they've put into the budget for their games. Fucking pennies to them.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_media_franchises

The cash cow/golden goose is real and people lap it up.
Yeah dexit ruined pokemon for me. Though, so did the quality of Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet.

It sounds to me like they should've figured things out when they established the charity in the first place. It's just not right to want to raise funds for charity and just run straight into making your own organization to put the money into, and then run into disagreements over how to spend the money. You're supposed to hammer that stuff out right at the start.

This still doesn't get him off the hook though because he withheld information from just about everyone while making big overtures to the good the money would go to when donated to his organization. It's still bad conduct, it just seems less malicious then initially impressed on people for now. I wouldn't be surprised if we learned more.

The morale will degrade until morale improves. People collectively suck at using their brains to think clearly, so they have unrealistic, selfish expectations from their politicians. From farmers who expected bailouts and subsidies, trade deals and even cheaper laborers with less rights, to hispanics who thought they were comrades of "real americans" and wanted illegal immigrants to suffer thinking that would transfer some kind of benefits to them instead.

The main difference between the present and the past? People in the past valued civic duty and character on at least a minimum, basic level. People in the present value macho bravado on podcasts and anger at justabout any group to blame.

This sort of parasitic thinking is why we are where we're at, and why they still wouldn't vote for Kamala, because they think with time maybe they can still get something good out of this administration even if they regret it in the present time.

Husband's reaction is totally understandable. I think he could and should be more forgiving, but if he doesn't want to be no one can make him. People have their lines. The mother willing to cast aside her daughter for him is a little off putting but also understandable. I think she should be more forgiving of her daughter since it sounds like the daughter has expressed true remorse and did seem to try to fix her huge error, even if it was too late. I think casting her daughter out will be something she'll regret later. People who make mistakes like this need guidance and second chances, but if you take that away, you take away their ability to become better. That daughter is going to go through a rougher life than what she knew and might not be prepared for it.

I'd say the cousin and extended family bear the most blame out of everyone in this situation. You can't take a small piece of information about people you know and assume it's the complete picture, or that it's a small piece of a situation that's worse than you imagine. This is no different than when people used to accuse others of being witches. It's primitive.

The Arabs for Trump group is like a microcosm of what happened in america where people have these vague, pent up frustrations and beliefs about government and manifested them into a con man. Though with this group, or at least this guy, they just have vague, pent up frustrations and beliefs about Israel and manifested it into a con man and Hamas apparently? He simultaneously believes they want to fight and die (that people need to recognize that for some reason?), and they're pragmatic enough to want to end the war peacefully.

I mean the Israeli government sucks, but it's weird to go basically "both american political parties are the same, so I'm going to support the one that wants ethnic cleansing in Palestine because it would happen anyway under Kamala Harris."

It's funny that this fictional scenario starts out tangibly with physically leaving someplace and being in an emotional state where you forget about your job, and then it becomes ephemeral towards something like good vibes.

Here's the thing, Conservatives are where they're at because they covet and focus on power. They don't do much good from it, but they'll sacrifice whatever they have to sacrifice, morals, people, money, to get what they want. This means they have a higher propensity to centralize around a singular figure like Trump even if different facets of the conservative ideological movement don't align with each other.

Under normal circumstances, this kind of cut throat approach is frowned upon except for extreme circumstances, but we don't live in the world of yesterday anymore. You can have two people live in the same place, experience the same things, but have two completely different worldviews derived from different sources with different levels of authenticity and verification to reality.

To get the "positive change and impact" you're looking for, it would probably require some way of tackling the "selective information" process conservatives and independents have a tendency to support their worldviews on.

The quickest and most brutal form of this would be a literal reality check via personal experience. We've seen this a little with the complaining about tariffs, the prices of things, people losing medical coverage, losing their jobs, the epstein thing. But obviously this can take awhile to apply on a complete level, and there's always disinformation hoses that will try to mask it by putting the blame elsewhere, or pretending it's not really happening.

I think Biden hit the nail on the head when he told people to "get local". I think getting involved in local politics is the right move for democrats when they don't have federal power at this time. We saw with the flood in Texas that the town that was affected made some big noise about the federal government giving money is just a tool to manipulate them into taking vaccines and having to pay it back somehow. They could've used the money for flood warning systems and didn't. I think democrats need to rehabilitate their image at the local level because conservatives have seen huge success doing damage to that image at the local level. Once you fix that, I think americans can get it through to their heads that democrats aren't vampires, pedophile rings, or aliens, they're just people.
