Teacher shouldn't be suspended, should be fired and never be allowed in such a position ever again.

It's a classroom setting. Patiently explain answers to the kids' questions, but there is no need to show the murder footage

As part of social studies/history classes in middle school, I remember we watched footage from both Challenger and JFK at least once each. (We were only shown the most famous picture of the Robert Kennedy shooting, though.)

Dont get me wrong. This video should never be shown to kids. I am never going to watch it, and I know children should never watch it in school. If this actually happened, the teacher should be fired ASAP.

But the usual discussion around this kind of thing is the baseless claim by the GOP that children are being indoctrinated in US schools. I was just surprised that the fact that the school is not in this country has not been discussed, as it seems relevant to the overall picture.

While this teacher should definitely be fired for showing the video of him bleeding out, let's also remember some of us saw the second plane hit the WTC in school. And I personally definitely watched both towers fall in the same class.

She should've just talked about it generally ( but showing the video was taking it 25 steps too far.

With allies like this teacher, who needs enemies? I can't imagine a more politically self-defeating gesture than this. This teacher doesn't deserve to be a teacher, they crossed like 3 lines with one action.

I don't even care that much about the identity and ideology of the shooter at this point. The callous reactions of so many on the left are fucking embarrassing to be associated with.
