but it addresses the reliability issue without messing with handling from what I read. whats not to like? it makes a great looking car actually drivable!

half the fun of owning an RX-7 is the rotary in my opinion. it's certainly not the most reliable engine under boost, but it's super fun to wring the power of of it at high RPMs. the LS motors are nice but they don't like to rev - which makes them more usable for day to day driving, but what's the point of owning an RX-7 if you want practicality?

Or possibly last night. He said the car was left unlocked, and the thief stole like $15 in cash and an expired credit card. I told him to file a police report, but I'm not expecting anything more than "lock your doors next time"

He's gonna ask the neighbors to see if they've had similar problems. Given the neighborhood we live in, I'm guessing the answer is "yes, but that's to be expected in a place like this" :(
