I can finish a game with a bad story but I can't finish a game with bad gameplay.

This is definitely how I feel. Most of my favorite games have either a super basic story, or nothing really at all.

OoT, DKC, and GTA all have some of the most bare bone stories, but the gameplay is what carries them above and beyond.

As someone who's never been a fan of these cinematic kinda games like Last of Us, while most of my friends are, I'm curious on the general consensus of those outside my circle. I know most of my friends would put story over gameplay, which imo is kinda crazy, but too each their own I guess.

I'm a big fan of movies, so I kinda would rather them not be in my games, but that's just me.

Nah, but I doubt they'll ever match Nintendo or Sony sales numbers ever again.

I go to Nintendo for their great 1st party exclusives and Sony for the multiplat games I want, plus an exclusive or two. What does Xbox even have anymore? I was a massive Gears fan years ago, but that franchise was run into the ground.

Idk how you don't consider the Switch or PS4 plug and play. Yeah, you have to update the systems, but besides that, where is that phrase incorrect? I turn on my Switch, put in the game and play. That is pretty much plug and play.

And yes, I've heard in the past you can play PC on the TV, but you're not gonna convince anyone that it's actually easier than plugging in a PS4 or Switch. Someone who has no clue about gaming would have a hell of an easier time getting a console hooked up and playing over a PC. My point about couch gaming still stands. It's much easier in most regards for the average person.

As a fellow PA resident, I do enjoy the rural driving, but I hate it at night when I'm in heavily wooded areas. After hitting a deer I've become kinda paranoid that I'm gonna again. Snow is the only thing that makes me hate mountain driving, which having a small car makes it even worse.

Still, 99% of the time it's far better than the Hell that was driving in DC, New York and Annapolis.

Rural driving with no trees around on a nice day with the mountains in the far distant as the sun is shining is the absolute best though.

It's funny but owning my games and feeling like I have a collection is why I like my PC. GOG Galaxy shows my library for essentially everything and I can quickly jump between my entire PC library that has games that span decades.

Meanwhile my old PS3 and Vita games may as well be paperweights at this point. I randomly played an old little indie game called JUJU with my wife a few months ago because I noticed it looked like a fun game for us to play. If I owned that on consoles I doubt I'd even play it at all because it's stuck on 360/PS3.

I'm personally not too big of a fan of digital libraries . It is convenient for older arcade games, which I will admit to downloading sometimes though. But when it comes to new releases, it's always a physical copy.

I'm not the one saying that, lol. The PS5 is currently the best thing out there, but everyone knows PCs always end up looking the best in the end anyways. Consoles do have their advantages if you're looking at more than just graphics and peak performance (usually).

It just comes down to the fact that I, along with many others just don't have any interest in gaming PCs. I haven't had a PC in well over a decade now since I can do practically everything I want on my phone or labtop. I like owning and collecting things, which is a large factor in all of console owning. Graphics have never been an important factor to me after the 5 minute wow factor.

Love Steely Dan. One of the few bands that probably wouldn't have a song rated under a 7-8 for me. So consistently great, so I totally get those ratings you're doing because compared to other music they're better than 99.9% of it.

5. Midnite Cruiser

Can't Buy a Thrill and Aja are a cut above the rest though, imo.

I thought Super was great.

Sure the padding in the beginning with the movies was pointless and a bit annoying, but when they got to the ToP, it was DBZ quality levels, and with DBZ being my favorite anime, that's a compliment.

The sequel trilogy on the other hand was kinda the opposite. Started off good (I though Force Awakens was good) but it kept going downhill. It was never outright bad like the prequels, but just dissapointing and many missed opportunities. I think if Abrams would've been kept on for all 3 films, we would've had a solid trilogy.

This is also more from American perspective, since I know some sports such as Football are nowhere near as popular outside the US.

I'm sure you can argue the biggest icon for some of these sports as well, but what say you?

I want to say Tony Hawk personally because for many he is the only skateboarder most people know, along with being the face of it, but I could say the same for Tiger Woods. By pure stats though, I believe Wayne Gretzky was far above any other player compared to the other icons here, but that's not the exact question here.

I mean eventually we'll probably get someone pretty qualified again. Qualified and real are hard to come by though. 2008 Obama was qualified and seemed real, but that was far from the truth. Someone like Sanders fits these two better than most I can think of, but I HIGHLY doubt he'll be running again after this.

I actually think Tulsi is probably the most likely candidate that fits this who I could see running again. I'd prefer Yang over her tbh, but I feel more people would complain he isn't as qualified (not that it matters anymore).

On the conservative end, I could see Mitt Romney trying again. I might not agree with a lot of his ideals, however he seems to be one of the few real ones there and pretty qualified.

That's been me since 2015 on and off. I get in certain urges to play games (really got into the Shantae games 2 years ago) but my interest has really gone down since the Wii/PS3/360 era. I can always pop in any Smash Bros. or a retro game and have fun, but these movie games really haven't been doing anything for me, especially since movies have kinda jumped ahead of video games for the most part of the last 5 years.

Breath of The Wild and Smash Ultimate did get me outta the rut, but it just doesn't happen as much these days.

I am really enjoying the new Animal Crossing though.

Mid 2009 Macbook Pro

Just ordered some Ram and a new battery for it so I get a few more years out of it. Love my Macs, but god damn are new ones so expensive. I don't game on PC so I have no use for a desktop and for laptops, I just like OS and can't stand Windows past 7.
