Silver Will was never disallowed, although there was a bit of uncertainty over its eligibility due to being a "super arrange" version - I ended up digging through Japanese youtube videos to prove it was eligible. The issue was not whether the full version of the song was in the game; rather, it was whether any of the song played in the game. Ed was somewhat paranoid about allowing ineligible songs at that point, as we'd already had two ineligible songs win matches to that point in Trans Project Stage 1 and Fighting of the Spirit, so we did our due diligence on anything that toed the line.

That wasn't even the first time we'd had that issue, either - Theme of the Last Time Travel was similarly found to be uncertain and actually briefly removed from VGMC3 due to being named "live version" before being reinstated.

the full Super Arrange version was allowed, which, as far as I can recall, was the first time something technically not in the game was allowed, well before the whole rhythm game mess came about.

Anyway, the first song I remember actually being removed from the bracket was Going on from Atlach-Nacha in VGMC3, which turned out to be an arranged version and was replaced with His Highness' Theme.
