While I liked it overall, it wasn't as good as the others. Two major criticisms are that it was slightly overambitious (e.g. the art style) and many many times the characters were out of character in a stupid way.

Overall, I'd rank the series VLR >= 999 >> ZTD. The order of the first two is a matter of personal preference, I feel, because they're both very good. But both are an order of magnitude better than ZTD. It's somewhat disappointing. Thankfully, from what I understand AI is a return to form for Uchikoshi, so I have that to look forward to down the line

I get how every Zero has good intentions all along, but this one's reasoning is reallllly nebulous

Phi has been in 2 zero escape games and had badass moments in both. If only she were in 999 too...

I haven't done D-Team's force quit box yet, just the other two. I think I was on the right lines with Phi's brooch, but it would make sense for the second object to be the caged bird Delta got. I'm just unsure what to type in: I think Diana called it a music box so that'll be high up in my list of tries

So we reached the VLR end after all, involving Akane stabbing Junpei so he doesn't remember the events of ZTD

And the game confirmed baby Phi being that Phi as well as Delta being Zero. Could he possibly also be Q?

The twist with the three wards being a single ward is amazing and was well foreshadowed with the healing room. A++

The other teams still don't recognise Sean, so who's Q?

I like how the flowchart was restructured too to reflect what we learned in this fragment

So there was a VLR timeline. Neat. But aren't Junpei and Akane dead in this timeline? and even if they aren't, they met, so that contradicts VLR. Maybe its a Fate/zero situation with an "almost" timeline

I initally thought the AB game was gonna be Phi/Sigma betraying each other because the other betrayed them in an alternate timeline all over again, so I'm really glad it was more than that. The Junpei/Akane romance is gr8. Carlos didn't recognise Q, who somehow got taken over and transported to the C ward? I guess the metal head gives Zero control over him, but that still leaves the question open as to why Carlos didn't recognise him...

Also, I'm 100% on board with the Akane/Junpei romance

Saw all the team executions. Based on his propensity for Latin, Zero is definitely related to Phi somehow. Maybe they're the same person? Though that's doubtful since Phi seems strongly on the side of the angels and I'm guessing Zero wants to release radical-6, which Phi is here to prevent. Though that would be the ultimate cover. Or maybe it's a future version of her

The minigame event started. The first one was pretty fun solo, though the final game with the shields was annoying once there was a single abyss mage left

There seem to be Force Quit Box segments for the other two teams too; I'll take a look at them next time. I don't think I know any passwords so there's not much point other than getting rid of the "new" tag

There's something off about Q team. Weird comments are made about them, and Mira was able to murder D team despite being in a different ward and ostensibly sedated. There're ways around the sedation (iirc Ace was just pretending in 999) but the physical barrier is a problem. I don't think she could fit through the vent since, to put it bluntly, she has the biggest bust and it was established the other characters couldn't fit

Carlos and Diana can jump like Sigma/Phi, that much is obvious. Luna also being based on Diana also means that Diana is Sigma's wife except maybe not in this timeline? I thought we were gonna lead to VLR at one point but seems to have been a fakeout. Though considering Sigma/Phi are here to prevent VLR it would make sense that VLR wouldn't occur in the future of this game, especially since in VLR Junpei hadn't met Akane since 999. That said, in that timeline he probably still became a detective and developed his sunny personality :-)

Is Q an intentional shout-out to Nier Automata? His head reminds me of that one vendor with the song in the car-truck-thing
