To better understand what is happening all throughout galaxies like NGC 4303, a team of scientists decided to study them via different wavelengths. The observations from the multiple wavelengths were combined and led to bright and glowing galactic images like this one. This sharp view highlights individual clouds, stars, and nebulas where stars are born in NGC 4303. To create this view, astronomers combined observations taken with the Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) on the European Southern Observatorys Very Large Telescope (VLT) and with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).
