Are we STILL pretending the space force isn't a good idea?

GPS and communications satellites are the entire backbone of both our military and our economy. It takes roughly 3 months to launch a satellite, so if an enemy knocked our satellite constellations out we'd be crippled for years. It would be months before we could even properly respond with an effective military strategy.

And the "space force" is mostly just roles and resources that were currently spread out over multiple organizations being moved to a single umbrella, anyway. It's more of a "re-org" than anything. This has never been "soldiers in space" or whatever made up nonsense people have been joking about.

A US watchdog has found no evidence of political bias when the FBI launched an inquiry into the 2016 Trump campaign, despite "serious performance failures".
The US Department of Justice inspector general's report concluded the law enforcement bureau had "authorised purpose" to initiate the investigation.
But it also found applications to wiretap a Trump aide had "significant inaccuracies and omissions".

The Bad:

The inspector general identified 17 "significant inaccuracies or omissions" when the FBI applied to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (Fisa) for surveillance warrants to monitor Mr Page's communications.
Mr Horowitz wrote that the errors resulted in "applications that made it appear that the information supporting probable cause was stronger than was actually the case".
The watchdog also found that an FBI lawyer assigned to the Russia case doctored an email from the CIA to a colleague that was used in an application from the bureau to monitor Mr Page.
The attorney "altered an email that the other US government agency had sent" with the effect that "the email inaccurately stated that Page was 'not a source' for the other agency", the report said.
The watchdog also found FBI personnel "fell far short of the requirement in FBI policy that they ensure that all factual statements in a Fisa application are 'scrupulously accurate'".
The report said "so many basic and fundamental errors... raised significant questions regarding the FBI chain of command's management and supervision of the Fisa process".

The Good:

The inspector general found no basis for conservative claims that partisan hostility to Mr Trump had influenced the bureau's probe.
"We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the decisions to open the four individual investigations," he said.
Mr Horowitz also did not find that the FBI's mistakes were intentional.
The investigation was opened "in compliance with department and FBI policies", the report said.
Mr Horowitz also found the FBI's use of confidential informants was in compliance with agency rules.

Yeah KH3 had the burden of being a culmination of a bunch of side stories mixed in with Sora's journey. Nomura could not juggle every ball.

I remember there being an interview where Nomura talks about wanting to go into Xehanort's back story more (which would have really helped define his somewhat vague character) but he would have needed another game for that.

That feels like kind of a cop out since all of those Side Stories and how they connect are still a product of him. Like, if the issue is that the amount of unresolved story threads were way too big to resolve, that's still his fault. He could have made more cohesive and stand-alone titles rather than making sure that every game in the series asked a bunch of questions and then finished unresolved.

If you live in the Northeast Corridor it can be a better way to get between major cities. Yes, travel time is longer than planes, but you can basically show up 5 minutes before the train boards and you don't have to deal with security. So a 3 hour train ride is still probably quicker than a one-hour flight. Especially if you consider time saved in both directions.

Trains also tend to leave more often, so you have more flexibility if you have to travel before or after work, and it's way easier to move to a later or earlier time if your schedule changes than with flying.

Plus with trains you get way more leg room, better food options in the dining car, actually usable Wi-Fi, and more power outlets.

The game has three branching story paths that effect things like character dialogue and boss battles, two of which would be almost impossible to stumble onto without the community telling you about them, and which path you get is a direct result of how you play the game.
