On that day, the whole economy shuts down for 24 hours. Think of it as like a fire drill, expect for a pandemic. That way, people would be more prepared for thr future.

I think the aftermath of this coronavirus pandemic will be worse than both of those combined. This will likely change the world far more than those two events. The 9/11 attacks were sudden and unexpected and led to the war on terror, but the average impact to anyone outside the Middle East was minimal. The 2008 recession affected people globally due to mass layoffs but many parts of the world actually increased their gdp during this period (mostly the developing world). The 2008 recession was also artificially created though bad loans that never should have been granted so in a way, it was expected to happen. This current pandemic is worse because it's not one hit and done, but looking like a multi-month event. The longer this goes, the more likely there will be significant changes. What I anticipate happening is a speedy continuation of the retail apocalypse, which will leave millions unemployed. (Already happened actually). What do you guys thing?

Leaving the state will instantly kill you. Which state do you pick? For states that border the ocean, maritime borders apply, so you are able to go into the ocean up to a certain point.
