Out of the 3 Starbucks locations I went to, I only approached one woman.

As an indirect conversation starter, I asked her to watch my laptop as I went to the bathroom. She agreed. When I came out, I commented on her Surface Pro and we got into a conversation from there. Tried working on my body language and voice so that I appeared confident...not sure if I succeeded in either of those elements. Apparently she is a foreigner from Vietnam and she has been in the US for 5 years. She seemed genuinely interested in talking to me, she kept trying to keep our discussion going, no dead air.

When I asked for her number, she suggested that I give her mine instead. I actually like this, as now she can control whether she is interested in contacting me or not. It keeps the pressure off, and it makes her more comfortable I imagine.

Unfortunately she didn't contact me (its been 2 days), but I didn't expect her to so I'm not disappointed. I'm proud that I put in the effort, and may try talking to other women later.

My question: Is what I did bad? Was it unethical or weird?

I really think it's scripted at this point. All these guys follow the same pattern with slight variations to make each episode stand out, chats/texts that go "I'll be in trouble if someone finds out" but continues to go anyway, stays to chat and look like a piece of shit instead of shutting up immediately to not incriminate themselves and not give Hansen a satisfying show, and all say the same "I was just coming to hang out" excuse.
The biggest thing though is that literally all these people go to the same Fairfield Connecticut area. Does there really live that many predators in the same place who are internet savvy enough to know where to look for sexual relations with children online but not realize how Hansen operates?

Fairfield had 11 predators that we know of. A typical To Catch a Predator had 30+ guys in one episode. 11 guys isn't unusual.

I work in customer service and I hear the same 4 or 5 argument points from customers every day. I'm not surprised by the predators saying the same thing or making the same excuses.

My SSD failed in 2012, IIRC Windows XP was still supported.

And yes this netbook is crap. So far I had to replace the power cord twice, battery once and I upgraded the RAM from 1 gb to 2 gb.

I'm on my laltop. Used to have Windows XP but the SSD failed and I lost all content on it. So I bought a replacement SSD ($16 for 16 gb- ripoff lol) and installed Ubuntu. The computer wasn't performing well, so I just installed Lubuntu. Currently on that.

nah, i am considering buying an asus c302 to install arch on though. i think it would make a nice ultraportable linux solution, has the same chipset as the macbook 12" and doesn't look like a pile of garbage aesthetically.

This is essentially why I would buy one, for a Linux dustribution.

My netbook. Had it since 2011, and has not been the most reliable. The solid state drive failed so I replaced that. It's went through two power supply and one battery replacement, and I upgraded the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB. Really I should be using my tablet, but this was my college laptop and it brings back memories.

What about games like Superman 64 and Sonic 06? Those were games that released in a half finished nearly unplayable state because of time limits and executive meddling. The sad part is Sonic 06 could have been an amazing game. Maybe if Sega had a bit of, um, motivation they would have made it better hmm...

Hard to say. In Sonic 06's case, I think the mission was to make a great sonic game, but the development plan behind the game was dark and stressful. Not the same as Action 52 where the plan was a quick buck.

For anyone that is considering doing it, I recommended trying it once.

My legs look a lot cleaner this way, and much smoother. The only issue I had was it took a little too long to shave.
