Bigger market teams have a ridiculous advantage in baseball. Mostly we can afford the back end of contracts, survive bad deals, and can outspend other teams for IFAs and draft picks. Some of that has changed over the years for the minor leagues but its a huge advantage and it allows us to have expectations that are easy to market the product to. I would blame the players union before blaming the big teams.

Also they have been division rivals for a while and they didnt always do playoffs the way they do now, and LCS isnt even 50 years old. Theres more history soaked in besides playoff series especially considering what a division/league win has meant over the years.

Boston fans project so much about the cheating when their city does it more than any other in the history of professional sports.

I think every team cheats and it's why most of it isn't reported. The Astros were reported multiple times, including the LDS, and MLB doesn't care and no one cares. Which is OK except that some people (not all) care a lot when Boston does it. If I'm a Cleveland guy, I'm mad that MLB let the guy keep his credentials after being nabbed for recording my dugout.
