I picked it back up in November and havent slowed down. Remote raid passes (which may have been around for a long time idk) really help out. I also do a bunch of wayfarer stuff and have added a ton of Pokestops and gyms. Its helped me learn a lot more about my local area.

I also had Arrested Development, scum was things like the SEC, FBI, Saddam Hussein. I was in the host queue for that but I was having trouble writing flavor because I really suck at writing. But in retrospect it would be better than season 4 so I guess I shouldn't have stressed out about it so much.

Rocket Queen - I love this song. I love the textures of the guitars in the verses, the grooves, and the ending just breaks into a sappy ballad that just works. This is what an honest love song sounds like.

My Michelle - Always loved the riff. Love the intro. f'ing classic lyrics imo.

Welcome to the Jungle - Maybe the best side one song one from that era. It's a great song, a popular song, a perfect intro to an album.

I listened to this album so much back in the day. Nothing really weak here - even the album fillers get stuck in your head and have plenty of brilliant little elements imo.

I don't really worry about. I beat Castlevania and it was a brutal slog that took a lot of time and there was an elation as a kid playing those games that people using cheats/save states/etc won't feel, but, that's the exchange I made. I think most people understand how frustrating games used to be at this point and that QOL was either not feasible to implement, or ignored because the games wouldnt seem worth 50 bucks.

If someone uses a Game Genie to beat Ghosts N Goblins, that's fine. If they claim that it's legitimate... well no, but, oh well.

The Celtics were basically drafting someone to play PG in Maine for a few years... but it's nice that they picked a high motor guy with a bad jumper and turnover problems.

As for Blink 182, this sort of pop punk has never been my thing and plenty of bands came out in the very late 90s and 00s that totally missed me. But I also appreciate that they were important bands for a lot of people. It's just not music I think I could really rank.

I missed Mos Def because I just felt like I couldn't wrap my head around it - it's music I think is good but I also don't listen to very much. I would probably need a dozen spins to really feel good about it. Some albums I know well, some genres I understand well enough to rank after 1-3 listens. So I could give you maybe a top 3 Mos Def list but ranking that whole album, just would feel awkward. Same with the back half of Folklore - I could tell you my top songs but then the half dozen songs I don't care about, there's so little delineation that I end up letting perfect be the enemy of good.

for my noms - Angel Dust is successful and influential. Experimental, metal, schizophrenic, and one of my all time faves.

Deftones were a Nu Metal band and quickly became only Nu Metal adjacent and then quickly became their own thing and really worth checking this album and Koi No Yokan out imo. Deftones have pretty much always grown while not leaving their past behind.

Bloody Kisses is tongue-in-cheek gothic doom metal at its finest. I like a lot of their stuff better but this was a big album for them and it has no chance of winning the poll but I love them and felt like having them show up.

Hmmm to watch or not. Thinking not
