All ultimates mastered.

Behemoth King was quite easy, pretty much melted him.

U+ boss rush was interesting. Thunder God basically wiped out the Warmech, Protoflorian went down to multiple snowspell strikes, and Garuda Interceptor to the Cloud Cycle and Aerial Blast Combo.

U++ was annoying due to Bahamut's rush. Paralyzed Tyro, and wall ran out towards the end. Thankfully Asylum's stoneskin blocked most of his Ignis attack. A couple of Thunder Gods and repeated Shining Moment from Raines was enough to take him down relatively quickly.

Nightmare Necrophobe mastered. Basically just DPSed him as much as possible in phase 2. Had OK, Faris, Ramza, Tyro, and Y'shtola. Ramza using Unsung Hero twice in a row was insanely helpful. Second one killed Necro with OK's doom timer at 1. Never had to toggle the barriers, had Tyro cast Carbuncle to neuter the ST magic, though almost got in trouble when the barriers hit me with AOE firaga 3 times in a row.

Only Guardian and Tritoch left...

All ultimates mastered with relatively little difficulty. Helps that my FF 7 synergy is absolutely ridiculous. Hojo's AOE silence got Y'shtola, but it didn't matter as he was nuked down quite fast. Rufus never actually got to use mako cannon. Finally, managed to kill Ultima Weapon after his 8th turn. Kudos to the guy who mentioned Vaan, using Ark Blast right off the bat likely helped quite a bit, made me not have to worry about Ultimate Ultima Beam that much. Used his burst commands, Cloud and Orlandu lifesiphoned, Tyro was just kinda there, and Y'shtola used Asylum late. Orlandu used Thunder God, then lifesiphoned even faster thanks to TG mode. Cloud used Cloud Cycle, then command 1 a couple times, and a second Thunder God killed him off.

Fun event, looking forward to trying the D 250 torment Gi Nattak tomorrow. Having Cloud's BSB2, and being able to get his attack to 707 thanks to synergy, before any kind of buffs, should help out quite a bit.

Nah, just fly around like giant pieces of ****, shooting lightning stuff at you, and then flying crazily away. Warp striking is the key of course, but then Noct free falls a million feet and hurts himself. Wasn't a pleasant fight.

Did the thunder bird hunt (9..........thunderocs? I think that's what they're called), and holy **** was that annoying. There were also 3 giraffe rams (Arbas I think), so that was annoying also. Didn't help that I got there close to nighttime, so when darkness fell, became even more ridiculous.

Killed the Midgar Zolom when I found it by accident. Crafted a few quintcast blizzagas to nuke it down (along with an unfortunate group of imperials that also showed up), but man it wasn't easy. I was in the low 30s in levels. And of course, the thing showed right back up shortly afterwards. And of course, the next main quest is to go to a cave behind the waterfall..........where the thing is.

****ing Mandragoras. Killed them on my 3rd try, with both S/Ls coming because Y'shtola got silenced. First time it was early on, so that wasn't as annoying. Second time, it was more than 2/3rds into the fight. Thought I could still win, but the multitudes of ultimate rams dropped too many people.

Thankfully, the third time the only status effects that procced were poison and sap. Praying these things don't show up again in any high difficulty battle...

Nightmare Omega Weapon mastered, 1 medal lost for damage, and 1 medal lost for characters KOed. Lost Y'shtola during the latter part of phase 2, so nightmare holy and flare killed off characters in phase 3. Thankfully, 2 casts of Thunder God, Fenrir Overdrive, Eternal Wind, and an instant Full Charge helped melt down Omega fairly quickly. Still got a few more Nightmare bosses to do (Guardian, Necrophobe, and Valigarmanda), but all the gatekeepers are done.

Finished/mastered my first Torment dungeon! D 200 Gi Nattak.

Used a physical team, before remembering that I had Alphinaud and his burst...

Onion Knight (99): R4 lifesiphon, R3 silence buster (Vessel of Fate)
Cloud (99): R4 lifesiphon, R2 tornado strike (Fenrir Overdrive, but used Climhazzard)
Celes (84): R4 aerora strike, R1 snowspell strike (Indomitable Blade)
Tyro (81): R4 magic breakdown, R3 full break (SG)
Y'shtola (80): R4 curaja, R2 shellga (Asylum)
RW: Shout

In hindsight, may have taken out Cloud and used Alph there. Got into trouble when I forgot to put shellga back on after the first debarrier (was using Asylum and its commands), then got hit with meteor. Thankfully, the stoneskin from Asylum saved Tyro (who still almost died), as he was just about to re-apply SG. Aside from that, it was fairly smooth sailing. Second silence buster landed on the soul fire, which was perfect for medals. Trash wasn't that bad, used a few abilities here and there, as well as cmd 1 of OK's burst.

May try the D250 tomorrow, but not sure. 6 rounds of trash (with higher HP) is quite a lot, and I'm not sure I have the hones for that. Spamming a never-ending snowspell strike with Celes was awesome though, and if I put Alph in there, I could do the same (kinda) with meltdown if I use his burst cmd 2 every so often.

Mastered all the ultimates. Squall literally hit me with a damaging move once. Biggs and wedge were annoying but not bad. Disciplinary committee went down hard to OK and Terra RWing quistis's burst.

Also mastered lake dohr. Leviathan went down quite fast, as Thunder God was fairly helpful. Had drawtaliate set up so no one would get petrified, and Arc's magic blink SSB made most of his ST magic miss.

All story dungeons mastered for the first time since...........I honestly don't even remember. Now it's just torments I need to do.

(Last update I promise)

Ninja down easily. Bahamut down fairly easily too, as magic blink made megaflare miss anyway. Eternal Wind OP.

All that's left is Lake Dohr, where Leviathan dwells. Will do the FF 8 ultimates later tonight, then likely give that one a shot.

5 elite story dungeons left:

FF 3: Ninja, Bahamut, Leviathan
FF 14: Hellbinder, Aiatar

Of those, Bahamut and Leviathan will be the most annoying. But afterwards, I'll finally be caught up on story dungeons for the first time since one of the first couple DUs. Up to 140 mythril. May toss 50 at the combat nightmare banner, whenever it comes out, but the rest is saved for the second anniversary. Avoiding spending any on the FF 8 banner.

All FF 1 ultimates mastered.

Astos can suck it with that AOE blind and silence. Thankfully, I keep one RW around which is Y'shtola's Medica II, so I brought that out for this one. Trivialized that crap.

The U+ fiend boss rush was fun. Basically tried to burst each down ASAP. Lich went pretty quickly, Marilith stuck around a bit as I tried to make sure I reapplied buffs and such right at the end, Thunder God OHKOed Kraken, and I unloaded everything I had on Tiamat ASAP.

Chaos was a solid U++, good difficulty, no stupid gimmicks (aside from the Ultimate Gaze, but that's what mind breakdown is for), just a straight up power fight. Brought Mustadio along since I had his SSB, which lowers everything including mind, and that along with a mind breakdown from OK made Chaos's Ultimate Gaze last for not even a second on Y'shtola, and not much longer on OK (a bit longer on the pure physical characters). Mustadio fell to a trample right around the halfway point, as SG had ran out, but everyone else survived.

All FF 4 ultimates mastered with full medals.

The Dr. Lugae/Barnabas rush was obliterated by lightning, finished up with a Thunder God when Lugaeborg was at half health.

Dark Knight was melted by Raines' BSB, along with Orlandu with SC (didn't even get to cast Thunder God), Warrior of Light's BSB, and Rosa's Holy Ray BSB.

Dark Bahamut was a little more annoying, but his paper thin defense was assaulted constantly. Onion Slice doing about 60ish thousand was pretty sweet, and Vaan's Ark Blast was also quite helpful. That, combined with Asylum, held Ultimate Megaflare to only a few hundred damage to a couple people, and he died shortly afterwards to a Onion Knight full charge.

I believe all the Torment dungeons are opening up tomorrow, so I think it's time to give them a shot. Excited for the FF 7 lucky draw first, then I should be able to beat that one. Then will go back and give the piglets and Geosgaeno a shot. Likely only the 200 difficulty though, not sure I can do 250.

So there I was, running down the road at night on my way to some town or another to rest up (didn't want to drive, want to get experience and such), when suddenly, some weird ass portal thing shows up in the middle of the road. A level 30 something Iron Giant pulls itself up, accompanied by an Imp or two. Man did I take the **** off after that, sprinting away as fast as I could. That scared me, never seen it before!

Mote Red Soul + Ogre Mages was way easier this time around. Celes with Indomitable Blade (had Runic last time), Orlandu with Thunder God, Onion Knight with his burst, all very helpful. Thunder God just about OHKOed the second ogre mage, so that was helpful. Once Red Soul was alone, it wasn't much of an issue.

Finished the last 2 guardians for Tritoch. Mateus and the Azers were crushed by Quezacotl, twinstrike thunder form (not sure what it's actually called), and a Crushing Blow that finished them off, then Thunder God destroyed Mateus.

Velius was a little more annoying, though AOEd the demons down as fast as possible. Actually brought in Laguna as I had his Desperado SSB that inflicts slow, which is 100% and slowed down all 3 demons. Put blind shell and bio grenade on him too, he was actually quite helpful.

Will try Tritoch tomorrow likely, as well as potentially Atomos as well. Guardian still worries me, as does Necrophobe.

Mastered all the ultimates. The mini-rush was quite easy. Gafgarion was annoying with his ultimate shadowblade spam, but being weak to holy, Orlandu and Agrias hammered him down quite fast. Actually, the only non-FF T character I had in this battle was Tyro. I have Mustadio's Mythril Gun, so I may actually be able to do a Cid Mission. Will give that a shot later possibly.

Wiegraf was getting blitzed by Cid Raines' BSB, but after every time I hit him as he got low, he countered with that ultimate judgment blade, which eventually had 4 characters stopped. Orlandu died right at the end, but Raines killed Wiegraf immediately after.

Will do the last 2 Nightmare guardians tomorrow, then give Tritoch a shot. Got him, Atomos, Necrophobe and Guardian still left.

Did the Deadeye hunt. First time using a spell I combined with an item (since I didn't even realize you could do that). Fira combined with those oil barrels was pretty powerful. Though he gored Noctis and put him into danger with one hit. My boost from food ran out before the battle, so that wasn't ideal either. Got him in the end though. Then fought through 4 waves of imperials on the way back.

I'm still saving for TG Cid. I got a $50 iTunes card for my birthday last month, so tossed a paid 11 pull on this one. Figured I'd just get a couple dupes if anything, but not going to use it for much else on iTunes. Alph's BSB made me quite happy.

Also, I was quite heavily weighted towards a physical party too. Now with OK's burst, along with Raines' and Alph's, I should be okay for mage meta too.

Ohhhhh, well that makes much more sense. Didn't notice that in game, because it literally happened all the ****ing time. Hard to focus on the monsters I'm hunting when I get ambushed by 15 axemen.
