I think mosquitos cause they spread disease which kills millions every year(before anyone points to my previous comment regarding them, i didn't know that the scientific community already started going all mimic on them), but they do have benefits to them, i would say cockroaches but i honestly don't think we could ever be able to fully exterminate them, now you say something like a dog and normal people will look at you badly.

I don't think I am. I mean, its reasonable to be afraid of getting hit by a car when you cross the street. Hence why most people use crosswalks if available. Which is comparable to avoiding petting or crossing to close a pitbull when one spots an owner taking the dog for a walk. However. people in this topic are treating PitBulls like the plague.

Why the fight?

You use German Shepherd and Malinois for police dog work for a reason. They are not naturally cop dogs, but their breed is better suited for that kind of activity than a Husky or a Great Dane.

You use rotties and doberman as guard dogs because their breed is better suited for that too. You still have to train the dog and teach it how to be a guard dog.

Turns out pitbulls are not natural pit fighters, they are not born being that (point for the pitbull lovers ITT). But turns out shitty people thought they were the best suited for pit fights and trained them for that. Then they cross bred the most aggressive pitbulls to the point that many pitbulls out there are better suited for fighting than, for example, a Golden Retriever. The pitbull gene pool has now many dogs with certain behaviors due to their pit fighting past.

It's not a hard thing to fathom. Retrievers do have a thing for fetching downed fowl and herding dogs do have a thing for herding. We humans bred them that way.

I am not saying all pitties are bad, btw, but some are and that's not necessarily because of bad owners.

The APBT and SBT were bred for and used exclusively for dog fighting for over 70 years since their creation. It took very long for them to be acknowledged as breeds because they did not want to acknowledge the dog fighting that the breeds were known for. They turned into pets at some point in the 1960s but they're combat dogs and always will be.

Where did i say they weren't? I just said that they are empathic, not that they aren't dangerous, they are but so is all medium and large dogs.

Yeah, not going to start stupidly hating on all Pit Bulls cause of this but it's truly awful to hear this happening and i think those dogs should be put down.
