Depends entirely on your situation. Of you find the right place and you know you're not moving for a long time (and you can afford it of course ) then I think buying makes sense.

If you tend to relocate every so often or you're not handy and you pay people to do all sorts of maintenance then renting makes way more sense.

I don't think it's as simple as buying is better than renting or vice versa.

Here is a question for you. I understand buying if you don't plan on moving for a long time... However, what if you plan on NEVER moving? Does that make sense when it can take you 20 years to pay that house off? Along with insurance... along with expenses...

If you never plan on moving and it takes 20 years to pay your house off I don't see why you don't rent instead personally.

I see pros and cons to both but renting benefits just seem to outweigh the pros of owning. I can only see owning being more benificial if you are renting it out and using it for passive income or you are turning houses. Or of course if you know the value is going to greatly rise then you sell it. Just buying it to live forever just seems like a bad idea overall when compared to renting

I think my first topic was poorly worded so I'm changing it.

Is that unreasonable to unlock ALL the content? I watched a video from Downward Thrust about the about the Black Ops 4 microtransaction system. It's 200 tiers that you unlock by playing the game. You have 60 days to get through all 200 tiers. Every tier gives you a reward. You can purchase tiers with CoD points. It's a $1 per tier or you can unlock everything for $200. The average time for players is about 1 hour of play time per tier. So that comes out to be about 3 hours per day.

Downward thrust made a huge deal about this microtransaction system and mainly focused on the time requirement it takes to get through all 200 tiers. His argument is that if he played an hour per day it will take 200 days, or "almost a full year," to unlock everything. He says that's absurd.

Here is my question, do people who play the game THAT casually deserve to unlock everything in the game? The point is to make you play the game. An hour per day is nothing. That means your life is so busy that you barely have time to play.

3 hours a day does feel like a little much. I think 2 hours is a nice middle ground. I just find it strange that someone expects to be rewarded with all the items in the game by playing an hour a day.

What are your thoughts on this?

There are so many crazy people out here. Mass Shootings is bad enough. Too afraid to go to public events because those are always targets. Cops scare me. Well, to correct it, crooked cops scare me. I'm black. All these stories about these crooked cops makes me afraid of cops even more than normal.

Now the reason I made this topic. I was in Publix yesterday buying some groceries. I noticed I was very paranoid and afraid. Looking everyone up and down. Extremely aware of my surroundings. Nothing happened of course. I get up today and I listen to the news and I hear about how 2 black woken were shot and killed at Krogers simply because they work Black. The murder was trying to shoot up a black church first but couldn't get in. So he went to the store instead.

That confirmed why I was feeling so uneasy. Because of stuff like that. It's best for me to stay in my home most of the time because it feels like I'm putting my life on the line when I go do other stuff. Am I overreacting? I'm sure I am. However, the fear feels warranted at this point.

I agree that suicides at schools shouldn't be classified as mass school shootings but what's wrong with suicides being considered homocides? I'm not even looking for specific stats like suicides by guns. Just count all of them then compare. I personally believe guns are a major influence in people commiting suicides. It's way easier for people to mentally justify killing them selves with a gun vs other methods that can much long.

Think about it... Let's do a hypothetical. If an obese person gathers the dragonballs and magically makes a wish to be 2% body fat... Their strength should be insane. The heavier the stronger. All that weight is like the perfect weighted clothing. I mean, you have to be strong to carry all that weight. Sure they get weaker when they lose all that weight but that's because you are losing muscle and fat.

I think part of the confusion in this topic is that folks don't actually know what pharmacists do, what we're trained to do, and what the law says we can do.

I do agree with this. And part of it is because there are so many avenues in healthcare: MD, PA, NP, pharmacist, RN, etc. They all have specific roles so it can be confusing for the public to know what pharmacists do outside of "They give me my medication." Pharmacist also spend the least time with patients.

I apologize for being obnoxious, btw. The comment about NPs making the most errors followed by the other comment that we overestimate our knowledge in pharmacology and (patho)physiology is what threw me off the rails. Those are some of the biggest challenges that NPs face and some health professionals still see our role as a joke.

I agree with everything you said. Once again I do apologize for that comment. It was out of line and unfair. I'm not sure why I got so hot headed in that situation. That was very disrespectful of me and I know better than that

Any practitioner can screw up. To say NPs screw up all the time is bullshit. It's rare for NPs to screw up and there is research on NP outcomes.

That's fair. Saying "all the time" was extreme and over the top. I guess I said all the time because the majority of mistakes I see come from NPs vs Doctors which naturally makes sense. When you do things right it isn't like a take mental note of it. I only notice when something is wrong. I'm sure you guys do your job right 95% of the time or whatever number is correct.

I have only given that PO prior to ECT treatment. It can be given IV but I've never heard of it being pushed. I feel like you're making things up to paint NPs in a bad light, but whatever. I'll admit I work with some asshole pharmacists, so I'm a bit biased when it comes to them.

I'll tell you this. There are many Pharmacist that are just... weird. It's got to the point now where I think you have to be a little crazy to be a Pharmacist. I've worked with... 40? Pharmacist, and the majority of them were very weird with very specific traits. So I can definatly believe you when you say you deal with asshole Pharmacists.

My NPs big thing is IV doxycycline. I've actually informed the pharmacist that as long as the patient isn't NPO, just substitute all IV doxy orders for PO.

That's weird. I actually work at the hospital now and IV Doxycine is rare for us. I guess it's based on what doctors/nps prefer.

Obviously. What I'm getting at is the purpose of the law is to prevent illegal activities and doctor errors. They still need to try to get the patient the treatment they need, and prayer is not an acceptable alternative medicine.

Here is the thing. That medication is used for abortions as well. Patients lie to us everyday. You get the explanation and it's on you to decide to believe them or not. If you think they are lying then you refuse it. It's based on your judgement as a Pharmacist. Sure you can call the doctor to confirm it but the same rule applies as the patient rule. Doctors lie as well. Hell there are times you aren't sure you are dealing with a doctor or someone pretending to be one.

So, that choice is his. Highly religious people think abortions is killing but not all people who believe that are religious. Just because he says he is religious doesn't mean if he wasn't religious that he would have filled it. Does that make sense? Pharmacist have to make their own judgements. Trusting everyone's word isn't a good idea. Not transferring is dumb though

Depends on the medication and whether a change would require an entirely new prescription. Either way clarification would probably be sought out

There are also times you clarify and the doctor confirms that's what they want. Then you have a decision to make. Just because the doctor says yes doesn't mean refusal is off the table.

Why? That honestly can open up another can of worms. Requiring a Pharmacist to fill something can be abused. You work in Kentucky. You get a prescription for 186 Oxycodone from Florida. There is no way in hell you are filling that. What happens when someone claims you refuse to fill because of religion? That's a problem already. Sure you can say, "That's BS. It's clearly not religion based." However, that doesn't fully protect you.

Plus, if you work for a retail and they complain to corporate about how you refuse to fill the prescription based on Religion... All of a sudden, corporate requires you to fill the prescription which they didn't have the authority before. You think corporate backs you over the customer? Most of the time they back the customer. It will be just a huge mess. Not worth it imo.

Yea I personally find that dumb but it's protected under law. That's like refusing to sale Plan B based on your beliefs. Attacking the Pharmacist here is wrong imo. If people hate this then they should attack the law makers and make them omit the portion of the law about religious beliefs. He didn't do anything wrong outside of refusing to transfer based on the law.
