we got to talking about paying off monthly credit card statements, having good credit score, etc.

i mention about wanting to make sure i don't overspend because i want to have enough to pay off my monthly statement in full.

he says that he thought that it's better for his credit if he only pays the minimum on his statement because the bank "likes" it when you're in debt with them and therefore you will have a better credit score.

I'm a little confused. are you asking for our 10/10 series or are you asking for recs? those are two very different things. I wouldn't recommend all of my 10/10 series to most people. just because I personally enjoyed something a lot doesn't mean I think every person would. also there are series I might recommend even though I didn't think they were perfect.

tl;dr - list your personal 10/10 series

This is part of a topic series where I ask B8ers to list what they personally consider to be 10/10s in several mediums. The topics are not entirely for recommending works to me although that is one function. I at least check out everything (i.e. look up what it's about) I'm not familiar with to see if it looks like something I would be interested in. But I didn't want a bunch of topics just asking for recs because I didn't think it would be too effective and I didn't want to make it just about me.

It stemmed from this rambling post I had about how I felt like I needed a 10 because it felt like I've gone without one in so many of these mediums. I realized my mistake of not being clear enough a little late in regards to that particular topic because people started talking about a 10 in the context of relationships and I didn't want to bother clearing that up like 40 posts in. So I decided to just go through every medium and have people list their 10/10s so I could comb through that compiled list for any potential 10's. Also to see if there were any particular users with whom I thought had more overlaps in taste so I could pay particular attention to their lists and generally get a sense of what everyone's tastes were. And other users could see the topics as opportunity to share their favs and whatnot. Ultimately I personally would end up with a sort of final backlog of works for everything excluding things that were not out at the present.

hey nobody told me to watch Kuzu no Honkai/Scum's Wish when i asked for winter recs.

i actually made it to to the end of ep 3 which is way more than i can say for a bunch of shows. bit annoying how a bunch of scenes just turn into them narrating exactly how they feel but it's still entertaining enough in a twisted soap opera way that i haven't dropped it yet. i hope this teacher character turns out to be as much of a bitch as i'm hoping she will.

well my thought was that if some people did find it annoying at least there was a better chance of someone on the board telling me so than people i knew in real life. i'm sure some people would have refrained from saying anything if it was the case for them. but again, i thought there was a better chance of anyone who did think so telling me.

or if the video was getting way more views than replies, i could assume it was bad.

yeah after i made the topic, i looked some things up and saw that it was a very common sentiment.

i had avoided getting on video or recording messages for a while so i wasn't as aware of the difference in perceptions. but there was that terrifying moment where i'm thinking, "oh shit what if my voice is really annoying" and all these moments of me going on long, extended ramblings came flashing back.

Day 10 Advantage

by that point i'm already well settled into the absurdity and it's not too drastic a departure from the tone set at the beginning. it's the beginning settling into it that catches me off guard
