Explaining basic social and pickup skills to people who never even leave their house, is a losing battle TC. Specifically on CE. People hate what they don't understand. Their ego won't let them understand.

Yeah order, be friendly enough, and move along. The cashier does not want a 5 minute conversation with some dude. Trying to pick up someone while they work is a bad look.

how do you know what the cashier wants? maybe you're her dream guy and she'd be upset if you didn't talk to her. i'm not saying to lock into the 5 minute conversation...but as i explicitly said, try testing the waters to see if she's into it. if you compliment her hair color and she launches into a conversation...maybe she's into you and you should continue the conversation. if she says thanks and looks away...you can leave and "only inconvenienced her for 5 seconds". it's not a binary thing. i said you'll have the opportunity for a 4-5 min convo, not that it will happen.

More than likely the hot girl at Burger King gets hit on all day by "pick up artist" I dont know for sure if wants a convo or not but I choose not to bother someone who would feel stuck in the situation because they are working and would feel obligated to be friendlier and nicer to a customer than they may want to. I think its sleazy to try and hit on someone while they are working.

Imagine actually thinking this.

Not sure what you mean by helps your belly out, but have you at least tried diet soda to transition? Tonic water or even kombucha would be even better choices.

Uhh, no. Fruit has fiber which helps the body breakdown sugar more efficiently than sugar in soda or candy, but it's the same sugar my guy.

Fruit sugar is generally fructose

Table sugar is generally sucrose

The ratios of fructose and glucose are pretty much the same in both fruit and table sugar. Most fruits are 40 to 55 percent fructose (there's some variation: 65 percent in apples and pears; 20 percent in cranberries), and table sugar (aka sucrose) is 50/50.

https://www.youbeauty.com/nutrition/ask-a-scientist-sugar-in-fruit/

Fruits contain fructose and glucose as single saccharides

Sugar is sucrose, a disaccharide composed of fructose and glucose

The ratios are the same, but they're different compounds

lrn2science

Edit: iirc. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, naturally

They literally both have fructose and sucrose in them. I.E - the same compounds. Idk what you're even trying to prove.

Fruit has fructose. Sucrose has fructose. Fruit has glucose. Sucrose has glucose.

People who say its not the time or place (ignoring the stupidity of the statement in general), usually don't value themselves very much. In the video examples I gave, the girls were very excited and happy, when they were approached. The men elevated the women's state of mind and overall energy.

Don't know the poster but yeah, asking women out at their job is not cool. Chat a bit and give her your number, TC.

Noted

Gotta disagree with this advice. Randomly giving her your number is going to set yourself up for an even more awkward situation because if she isn't interested, you just gave your number to someone you'll see multiple times in the future who hasn't called you. It's kind of a half assed way to ask someone out.

Just ask her out. Disregard the whole "don't ask her out at work" mentality because unless you have a good chance of seeing her outside of work, you will never get the opportunity.

I guarantee there are plenty of relationships that started by someone being asked out at their job that otherwise would have never formed. Everyone is different and not everyone will be bothered or thrown off by being asked out by a customer. Just be confident and respectful and take the fucking shot.

Exactly. .

The topic is about snacks. Who eats greens as a snack? You're telling a guy who drinks multiple cans of soda a day that the sugar content of some grapes is a concern to him

People eat vegetables as snacks all the time. Kale chips are literally everywhere. Are grapes better than soda? Obviously. Is spinach better than grapes? Yes. If your diet is on point, are grapes going to matter? No, probably not. If you're overweight should you be in-taking unnecessary sugar? No.

And I also didn't tell TC anything. I corrected Saul Goodman, and then you inserted yourself into the conversation.

If fruit is taking you into a calorific surplus it's the rest of your diet that's the problem. It's full of fibre, fills you up and is full of micronutrients.

And it comes with sugar which is one of the main causes of weight gain for a lot of people. It spikes insulin, and can cause your body to stop mobilizing fat. Calories aren't the only thing to be concerned with. Vegetables are more nutrient dense, more fiber, and barely have sugar, if any. A cup of kale has like 2.5 grams of fiber. A cup of grapes has less than 1 gram. Grapes also come with 15 grams of sugar per cup.

Unless you're diabetic 15g is going to have no affect on weight loss if you're in a calorific deficit. Eat both fruit and vegetables. They are very good for you.

One is clearly better than the other, and once again, calories aren't the only thing that matters. I don't even care about this argument, because it ignores bigger issues and specifics to the person. I just came in to correct Saul Goodman.

people get sentenced to prison all the time who don't deserve it. our justice system is flawed. there is a whole group dedicated to fixing this called the Innocent Project that works to get innocent people out of prison

This is true, but it doesnt make a convicted rapists word that he acted alone 100% factual. This is the only evidence that was used to overturn their sentence. Ironically enough, the statue of limitations was up for the actual rapist to be convicted. Anyway. Zikten, I appreciate your ability to have a rational discussion.

District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau appointed a team led by ADAs Nancy Ryan and Peter Casolaro to investigate the case, based on Reyes' confession and a review of evidence.[33] Reyes provided officials with a detailed account of the attack, details of which were corroborated by other evidence which the police held.[4] In addition, his DNA matched the DNA evidence at the scene, confirming that he was the sole source of the semen found in and on the victim "to a factor of one in 6,000,000,000 people".[4] In announcing these facts, the DA also said that the perpetrator had tied up Meili with her T-shirt in a distinctive fashion that Reyes used again on later victims in crimes for which he was convicted.[4]

the detective's words-

Reynolds believes the already-imprisoned Reyes worked in concert with the other teens to attack Meili, and lied about acting alone to get a better cell assignment. The NYPD veteran also wonders if Reyes wanted to do a favor for the Central Park 5, or perhaps caved in to threats. Whatever the motivation, hes not buying the convicts claim.

Just because someone has a hunch doesnt mean shit. Back it up with actual evidence (DNA, eye witness, etc.) or stop bitching about iM tOtEs NoT tRolLiNg!!!!!

And no, saying they confessed!! when it was proven to be a false confession isnt evidence.

Now shut the fuck up.

It was not "proven". They were literally sentenced to prison. So, no I won't shut the fuck up.
