He never said anything about 100% but its good to see you jump to a bad faith argument that quickly.

At this point in the pandemic, deaths are occurring almost exclusively amongst the unvaccinated.

What kind of toilet do you have that it stinks constantly? You need to get that looked at bro.

Also, the correct answer is i leave it up out of spite. Fuck the women in my house.

When you flush a toilet, particles of whatever you flushed (feces, urine, vomit) is put back into the air. So like, that toothbrush you have next to the sink, probably had bits of poo on it.

Wow, you are even more of a dullard than I thought.

Fox Corp A, the actual name for the company that owns foxnews stock, was at an all time high in March of this year when the vaccine was out and Reps like McCarthy (came out as pro-vax last week) were still sewing doubt.

Their stock cratered to about where it is now on March 31st and has remained there. If they were concerned about Fox News stock price and thought it was related to anti-vax news, they would have changed their tune in April when it actually crashed, not July, where we now are.

Again, stock prices can be easily verified, why make stuff up?

Right, I understood what hes saying. But the stocks didnt tank and in fact are up over the last 6 months. Moderna is at an all time time.

The stocks are literally up which is the opposite of tanking.

I just dont understand why people who are adults would claim things in an argument that are easily verified and false.

Moderna Stock is currently 323 a share up from 147 in March.

Pfizer is up to 42 after being as low as 32 in March.

they literally only started saying to get vaccinated after their stock started tanking.

They literally started saying it last week when Covid cases were rapidly rising and areas with low vaccination rates were experiencing hospital surges.

Additionally, both Pfizer and Moderna stocks are up since June and began rising weeks before the recent Republican push for vaccinations.

Neither option is correct. You have poorly assessed the situation. Its a two-fold issue.

1) The party has been spreading disinformation as part of the Trump presidency for years. Once you start this cycle, it becomes hard to stop and you have to go along with it or risk alienating the people youve been leading along.

2) There was an assumption that the risk of the virus had waned. But due to the emergence of more contagious strain, there has been a worldwide resurgence. So now, most of the deaths and hospitalizations are from those who are unvaccinated, which is mostly Republican led states. Heavy death tolls and high hospitalizations do not bode well for vulnerable Representatives and could be used nationally as well.

Because Jordan's Bulls knocked Ewings Knicks out of the playoffs 5 times, and only got to the championship when Jordan went off to play baseball(while jordan was on the Bulls)

And when they got to the championship, they still lost. Is Hakeem Olajuwon a Michael Jordan alias? No.

So again, the initial claim is incorrect. The assumption is that if Jordan never played basketball would have meant Ewing would have won a championship. When in fact, winning a championship is very hard and theres no guarantee that Ewing and the knicks would have won.

Moreover, if that is your reasoning, we must remove Stockton and Malone from the list as they lost more times to Clyde Drexler led teams than they did to Jordan led teams.

With so many actual accomplishments to distinguish him as the best competitor the game has ever seen, I dont understand the need to project hypothetical arguments which arent well reasoned.

Though by "entertainment" logic I might have to give the nod to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar instead because of Airplane and MTV Rock & Jock B-Ball. And for fighting Bruce Lee.

Wait, so when you were a kid, you enjoyed a kids movie that was released during your childhood? But now that you are an adult, you dont think a movie intended for children is as appealing to you?

Space Jam isnt a good movie. Its a kids movie that appeals to your nostalgia. Go ask the parents who brought you what they thought of Space Jam.

However, you are closer than you think with your Kareem argument as he is inarguably the most decorated and accomplished NBA player of all time.

Your initial argument is based off of incorrect information though.

How exactly did Jordan prevent Ewing from winning a ring when they made the finals when he was retired?

And if thats the qualifications, Isaiah Thomas and Larry Bird are better than Jordan because he kept losing to them before they got old and hurt. Jordan only won after the Celtics dynasty and Bad Boy Pistons were on their last legs.

I disagree with your assertion. Star power is a by product of both skill and popularity. The biggest stars in music and cinema are not necessarily the best at their craft. Moreover, in an individual sport, theres multiple examples where the biggest star isnt the best, Conor McGregor and Tiger Woods being prime examples.

Secondly, he isnt the most successful swimmer. This is actually his first Olympics meaning both multiple swimmers and athletes from other sports have better resumes.

1. Average in this sense is a single number that reflects an amount of steps taken by a "typical American" and not "the arithmetic mean number of steps taken by individuals in our measured population." Note that the title describes the American as average, not their number of steps. The models take into account parameters such as age, sex, ethnicity, social class etc. and uses those variables to extrapolate the measured population (which is not composed identically to the US population as a whole) to apply to the entire US population.

2. "Average" needn't only refer to arithmetic mean. Average is just shorthand for a single measure of central tendency, which (in lazy scientific or statistical conversation) can refer to mean, median, or mode. When I'm editing manuscripts, I would replace "average" with "mean" if that's what the authors actually intended to say, and only leave "average" if they mean "typical."

Lmfao. As if you could ever determine a mode for such a statistic or that it would even be reliable. Good to see more than a decade on this board and you still take things way too seriously.

"Reducing the duration of unemployment benefits increases the exit rate from unemployment. Data from seven studies show that the exit rate from unemployment for those with reduced duration of benefit entitlement on average is 10 per cent. This corresponds to a 52% chance that those with reduced duration will find a job before an unemployed person with the existing, longer duration (no effect corresponds to a 50% chance)."

Plain language summary
Reducing the maximum duration of unemployment benefits increases the job finding rate of the unemployed

aka - you gonna be losing your benefits, you better find a job!

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.4073/csr.2018.2

Just one study, this was from 2018.

Another study from 2009 in Germany. The outcome they conclude is exactly what most people would assume.

"We estimate the causal effect of extended benefit duration on unemployment duration and
on the job match quality using a sharp discontinuity at age 45 on the maximum duration
of unemployment benefits in Germany.
We show that there is a spike in the unemployment exit rate at the point when benefits
are exhausted and that extending benefit duration reduces the job-finding rate."

Meaning again when peoples benefits are running out they go looking for a job...gee whoda thunk it? They did also find that those that wait until the last minute of right before or shortly after their benefits run out they aren't as happy with the job they get or might be a lower paying job...but that is what you get for waiting till the last minute to find a job till right as your benefits run out. So there needs to be a good balance. Enough time to find a new job, but going for too long or paying way too much will greatly disincentive people to actually look for a job too. Gotta balance it out. IMO anything more than 6 months of unemployment is too much. You can go to your local McD's and get hired probably on the spot and make $12 flipping burgers anymore.

http://ftp.iza.org/dp4670.pdf

https://equitablegrowth.org/the-long-run-implications-of-extending-unemployment-benefits-in-the-united-states-for-workers-firms-and-the-economy/

It tends to be a bad idea to force people into low paying jobs that they are overqualified for. Bad for the people and bad for the economy. Your reliance on a singular data point of quickest to find a job is myopic and shows little understanding of the wide range of impacts and effects unemployment benefits have.
