Suikoden at one point was consider the 2nd most popular JRPG behind FF. I'm sure you could argue other JRPGs at the time like Star Ocean, Ys or Tales would be considered 2nd.

It's spiritual successor, Eiyuden Chronicles, kickstarted and was fully funded within 3 hours.

Of what was shown, I only find the menu layout and look fairly boring.

The HD background and the original sprites are pretty awkward, but of course, this is a cash grab from the Eiyuden hype but maybe this will lead to VI.

Hopefully 3-5 will also get an HD remake.

I'm playing 4-5 again with upscaled graphics and they look amazing, especially 5.

I'm not sure how much time I'm gonna spend trying to do it, even if I miss out on whatever rewards you can get from it.
