For the sake of everyone's lives we need to include more nuance and distinction in our discussions. It is not helping things to act like the covid vaccines are identical to these insanely important long-running long-tested super safe not EUA vaccines.

I'm not saying the covid vaccines aren't safe, right now I think they are very much likely safe, but if you tell most Republicans that regular vaccines are just as safe as covid vaccines they are going to hear that as evidence that regular vaccines are unsafe not that covid vaccines are safe.

Please please please please please do not make regular vaccines political too.

I'm guessing that when you upload gamefaqs assigns the uploaded image a random string as it's name and I just got an unlucky string, then when you upload again it checks to see if an identical image already exists and if so just uses the same image name when you try to post.

I ask this because I'm not sure if you realize but most of the countries that are under "pro free speech" literally criminalize many forms of speech. Most famously, any support of Nazis in Europe and stuff like Canada putting Twitter's intentional misgendering policy into their law. Hate speech is outright illegal in most of those countries too. Twitter and even gamefaqs would be pro-free speech under those standards.
Most pro-free speech pundits would most certainly not consider those countries pro-free speech. After all they don't have the explicit first amendment the US prides themselves on.

But this just speaks to how there are degrees to freedom of speech.

And so if we acknowledge that, "everything but porn" is a pretty clear and pretty free degree of freedom of speech.

I'm sorry you see that. I need to be more vigilant about that. Sometimes when I'm discussing with a bunch of bad faith people and somebody reasonable steps in I'm still in the defensive mindset and don't give them a fair shake. That is my fault and I need to get better on that.

I have legit seen some people say something along the lines of "ok maybe it works but other methods also work" and then you use that as a way to start talking about mainstream media again. You show all the signs of a conspiracy theorist, even though there is a perfectly reasonable way to present the information you want to present.

Do trust me that it's harder to present these unmainstream ideas in a way that people will listen.

If your goal is to just show that ivermectin could help people out, just stay in the pocket and focus on that. You are the one trying to get people to listen and part of that is having the right mindset. Nobody is gonna listen to you if you're being emotional and aggressive with your information. It reeks of you needing to be right for a personal need instead of you wanting to contribute to knowledge as a whole.

I don't feel I'm emotional and aggressive largely, maybe I'm not seeing it. After people go on unfairly or rudely for a while it does wear at my patience.

You'd like to think you're objective but obviously you are going to think you're objective. That money thing is absolutely a gotcha attempt. You know exactly what you're doing and so do other people, so cut it out. Realize that when you get to the point of needing to bet money with people online means you are too emotionally compromised to continue debating.

I really don't see what's wrong with the money thing. Like at this point these people argue so long and rudely against me I just want to settle it, force it to be concrete and testable, and whatever the truth is the truth is. A gotcha is only a gotcha if I'm doing a trick, and I'm not. I'm saying let's bet on what reality is and I give testable conditions for who is right.

I am open to knowing a better way to get people to be more tangible and accountable to their rude dismissiveness of true things.

I'm not. I have some sympathy for people skeptical of the covid vaccines, like they were fast tracked through the EUA and they are newer, but even those I currently strongly support.

I'm not going to die on this hill if some new data comes up about them saying they have more risks, but as it stands I've seen nothing really that points that way.

And yeah the vaccines that have been around a long time are great and super insanely important.
