Caring about life is important, the idea that such caring just stopped is bad. I don't want to get to the point where I get used to it before I fix it. Another example is there is no movies/porn I find too taboo or unsettling, it's just like "yeah whatever" to just about everything, even if objectively I can understand these things are supposed to be shocking or extreme. I used to have extreme anxiety, so I assume this is a mechanism I've developed to disassociate to cope.
