the current governor roy cooper is well liked and the dem nom josh stein is following the same pipeline of attorney general -> governor, so i'm hoping that he'll do well

speaking as a north carolinian, i have to imagine that mark robinson won the nom based on trumpist support and being the only republican candidate that seemed to have any oxygen

if you want to give tropical haze shit for poor management of their public face, i think there's something to be said for that. but ultimately nintendo doesn't deserve any kind of leeway here.

that part is definitely debatable but there are still good points made. ultimately, stomping piracy is consumer unfriendly and doesn't actually produce tangible benefits for nintendo besides maybe an extra slide at a shareholder meeting. people who engage in media piracy are, generally, prolific legal consumers of media as well. generating enmity for no real reason is just bad business.

the fact that the whole vtuber thing is dominated by large companies with stables of streamers has always been so fucking weird to me. i feel like that kind of set up is always going to be fundamentally prone to abusive/exploitative behavior, especially with all the weird legal shit involved. hope that vtuber is okay.
