Unless there's a Boston Dynamics, Lockheed, etc working on something super top secret as a contactor and videos we've seen from them have been misdirections, the government is nowhere close to having a robot like that. Army likes to tout itself as the leader in ground forces, and the robots used are smallish rugged 4 wheeled or continuous tracked robots.

On topic, given the Handle video I think the closest we could come to anime robots in the very near future would be the mini arm slaves in Full Metal Panic (the one Tessa's brother made) but they would have wheeled legs

That's why I said in a few years and picked thatmodel.



They're rugged three wheeled assault mechs the could be converted to 4 wheels and they're a little taller than a modern tank but not as long. I didn't mean that someone is probably working on one, but more that with all our current robotics knowledge, if the government decided they really wanted a mech, the technology isn't far away for a starting point like that. The wheels are actually what moves it. It doesn't have walking legs.

I think the Nightmares from codes Geass(everything before the Lancelot) would be most realistic, especially considering they don't really have to walk, along with having a good amount of firepower, but nothing rediculous before Lancelot.

I think the only difficulty if you had the money, resources, and knowledge would be a power supply. Since Sakuradite doesn't exist in real life we'd probably have to either use a small nuclear reactor, or charge up some sort of insanely high capacity battery using a nuclear reactor.

I'm the furthest thing from a fan of christianity as a whole, I don't believe it's the entire religion that that's the cause of the problem they have with sexually abusing minors.

I think it's mostly the idea that you can be "forgiven." That along with the church's tendency to cover it up seems to really stop a lot of things that would deter these sick predators.

If the church/religion had a position where the sexual exploitation of children was an unforgivable sin that automatically meant you couldn't be forgiven and would end up in hell, along with being handed over to the police or at least getting permanently kicked out of the church I doubt this would happen as much
