When Barbie first appeared on the market, most dolls were baby dolls meant to encourage nurturing play. The woman who created Barbie wanted girls to be able to have a toy of an adult woman to let them know that their bodies would go through changes when they grew up. And Barbie's varying professions were there as a reminder of the career options they would have.

Having a doll that goes through puberty is more or less the essence of Barbie as a concept. It's not there so that grown men can lust after growing doll boobs. It's there so that young girls can accept and embrace the changes their bodies will go through. It's kind of like getting upset at a boy's action figure having swappable heads: one without facial hair and one with. Except nobody gets upset about that. Change is only bad when it happens to the female body. A deepening voice, muscle development, growth of facial hair, and an interest in girls is natural. Breath growth, periods, and an interest in boys is the devil at work. (So is teenagers/young adults growing up to develop interest in the same sex instead pf the opposite.)

Politicians will say that this is a doll made for pedophiles. They're really just against anything that normalizes the female growth experience or comfort with one's own body.

Inverted Y is only acceptable for steering a plane. It is not acceptable for aiming or looking.

Dangit, do I need to see these movies? I've always thought they were just pure action movies that people with shallow taste in movies flocked to simply because it was the newest action flick.

Even though I have a deeper appreciation for amazing plots than I do for action, I'm of the mindset that anything done really well can be considered great. That being said, am I missing out?

Ngl outside of the guest appearances this episode was pretty weak. Hopefully Bo Katan leaves for a while soon cuz I'm sick of her whole arc.

The majority of them contribute nothing to society at this point. Many of them never really did. The worst part is how they whine about younger people not wanting to work and mooching off the system, when the proportion of younger people who do that is fairly low while the proportion of boomers who do that is close to 100%.
