I never expected Jack Black, Lizzo and Christopher Lloyd in Star Wars.

Episode was a lot of fun. A bit messy and fillery, but I enjoyed it.

Surprised to see those guys. Fun episode. Still pushing Bo Katan as the savior really, really hard though.

I'm not really familiar with her character before this, but in this series she hasn't earned any of it.

People are gonna hate this one lmao but I thought it was great

She didn't in any of the others, either. Her whole personality is brooding about how she deserves to rule, and scowling. She's never won the darksaber, and has failed every single time she's tried to unite the people.

Hell, in rebels, an entire other mandalorian character has a brilliant arc where she wins the saber, grows into her own, starts 7niting the clans, all of it. Then they just abort the arc, and have her hand the saber to Bo Katan, I shit you not, one minute after meeting her. Given the state of the mandalorians at the start of Mandalorian, we can all see how well that went, offscreen.

She's literally space Hillary Clinton. A grumpy failure that nobody actually wants, but keeps getting pushed on us anyway.

Hm... Maybe she has learned from the past and will eventually recognize she's unfit. Hopefully this all just a red herring and they'll actually have either have her earn it or pass the torch to a more deserving character.

I liked how brutal they made the Challenge fight. Sometimes with male v female fights, the guy is there just as a punching bag, but nope both gave just as good as they got.

Ah, nothing like a good old technicality.

And boy did they go nuts on the stunt casting this episode.

The whole ep was positively goofy, from the Romeo and Juliet opener, to everything on Plazir.

Not that a goofy episode once in a while is a bad thing.

.... I think I'm done with Star Wars. This season just hasn't been great at all.

This episode is probably the best of the entire series for me. You could take this episode and place it into Knights Of The Old Republic with ease. It really felt like a quest on a planet from KotOR.
Lloyd's casting kinda ruined the whole droid mystery thing for me. It was quite obvious that it was him behind it all.

i liked the episode even tho im still shocked to see Jack Black and Lizzo in the Star Wars universe. i liked their apperances but i totally did not expect them.

as for Christopher Lloyd, im surprised he wasnt featured sooner... lol >_>

and btw, shame on Grogu for teaching kids that its okay to cheat. smh -_-

I for one found it a fun episode.

Honestly this whole episode was stupid and I absolutely loved it. It was a fun episode. I had no idea those 3 were even gonna be in the episode so that was a nice surprise. Probably my favorite episode this season. It was like that episode of Star Trek TNG A Fist Full of Datas.

Haha, whoever called Bo killing that spider thing after it beat Din called it in regards to the darksaber.

It was a good fight, that one move with the grapple was dope.

I'm glad I went into this episode with no spoilers or anything, because seeing Jack Black had me saying "Oh no fucking way!" out loud lol

I liked the plot, filler or not, and seeing what happened to the old Battle Droids was a nice little bit of continuity weaving. One thing the Mandalorian, and Disney Star Wars in general, has done rather well is make me believe that the prequels and OT took place in the same galaxy.

I was so happy to see the old school battle druids. Missed their voices lol. I loved that the droids just wanted to help.

Nah, they're focusing hard on Bo's ascension--that's now become the primary plot arc of the show

The thing is that Din Djarin's story was effectively over as of Season 2. They've got to widen the scope of the narrative now and move towards ensemble.

The only obvious endpoint is the retaking of Mandalore.

And that can't just be about Din. He has no real personal connection to the place.

Honestly that's the same reason why it was silly of them to undo Grogu staying with Luke.

Like you said, Din's story is over atm and by extension, so is Grogu's.

Exactly, there is pretty much no other way to go. The only other thing they could've done is turn it into an episodic 80s/90s series like Renegade or Walker Texas Ranger where Din and Grogu move from planet to planet helping people. And I don't see them doing that with the massive budgets required for a SW production when compared to the previously mentioned shows.

it was like a bad law and order episode. bryce dallas howard just doesnt have the chops compared to everyone else.

did enjoy the Jables, Lizzo, and Christopher Lloyd cameos tho.

I thought that was the point. It was a light hearted episode poking fun at those types of shows.

...and Elder Wand rules it is.

I mean, let's be real. "Dude who wins a fight for a weapon gets to rule" is a horrible way of establishing rule.
