I hate that they couldn't choose between a red and blue haired protagonist so they said fuck it and didnt choose so much. It's basically a meme, and one that they definitely won't lean into at all in the game.

That said I'm such a fanboy for fire emblem I will buy it day 1 and play the shit out of it regardless. At this point it's one of the very few series I would buy a new copy of no questions asked.

Every time I play the great ace attorney Chronicles I put it down wishing it was the ace attorney trilogy remastered with a bit more flexibility in court.

It just doesn't quite have the joyful charm to it that the original trilogy had. It feels like the novelty of the setting takes the place of the fun and diverse environments that the originals had. Plus susato and ryunosuke just feel like a poor stand in for Maya and phoenix. A more distinct lead probably would make it feel less lacking.

SG-1 is the best it ever is.

Atlantis is good.

Universe is meh.

The first movie is meh.

The Ark of truth is fine as a conclusion if you're really invested in the ori storyling, but personally I'd skip.

Continuum is classic Stargate sg1 goodness, if a little bit basic.

Haven't seen Catherine.

Just watch sg1 then Atlantis.

I think it amounts to breathing properly (i.e. in and out at the right times, depending upon the exercise you're doing). Failure to do that will 100% affect your lifts, especially on high weight sets. Not to mention the injury risk. As an example, on something like overhead press, you actually kinda do want to bang out as many reps as possible before breathing because it affects your ability to keep your chest high and tight.
Gotcha, thats what I was meaning. Like on bench its in as the weight goes down, out as the weight goes up.

I do something to similar but like if Im doing 16 once I get to 8 I then start going 8 7 6 5 etc

its helps mentally but also my CNS is fucking waxed at 13-14 especially on the compounds so I often lose track of where im at if Im just normal counting through the teens

but yeah. I almost kinda break my sets into minisets based off breathing. I usually can get a little more than half my reps on the first huge breathe and brace. So if Im doing a set of 12 its like, huge breath, a set of 7, breathe, set of 3, breath, single, breath, single

if you know you know
I think I'm misunderstanding this, because this reads like you aren't breathing through your reps....? I'm pretty sure that breathing properly while doing compound lifts is more important than being actually strong lol.

Weird thing I've tried when benching for reps the last few times is splitting the reps. So if I'm going for ~16 reps, I count to 8, then restart my count at 1. I'm not sure if it serves as a nice mental reset to refocus form, or if sticking to one syllable numbers keeps the cadence more consistent. Regardless, it actually seems to help prevent awkward reps that normally happen in the 12-15 range for me.

Yesterday I measured my arms 15 inches cold flexed, today I benched 225x17 for the first time. Those were my two goals before I turned 30 (in a few weeks) that I set back in September or October. Super pumped. Time to set new goals :D

Think I'm going to try and start dropping back down to 190-195ish since I've been above 200 for a few months. Going to try and get back into legs as well since I've never technically hit the 1000 club and my bench is way ahead. Plus more arms growth. At this point maintaining my bench would be satisfying enough, but that isn't how this game works.

Probably an unpopular opinion but Dragonite is one of the worst gen 1 designs (and Salamence is a pretty bad gen 3 design too!)

The rest are pretty solid though.
Salamence has a great 3d model that moved him way up for me. Went from whatever to a top 10 for me. Metagross is a really strong one too. I'm actually surprised he is doing so well. I thought garchomp would run away with this, he just seems like he should. I guess Dragonite being so meh has really made this a close match.

S9 was overall pretty good tv and about average for a post-3 season, but i don't think it was a very good "sendoff" season. that said the finale was nice.

i voted 2 but would kinda like to change to a 3 now. oh well. i didn't think the office was a top tier show at any point beyond S3 but S9 did it justice enough.
Have you considered watching it on repeat another couple dozen times? That is apparently the optimal way to view it.

TopicSo what's the consensus about the Hitman series?

The reboot trilogy is fantastic, especially in hitman 3s engine.

Like others have said 2 is probably the most highly regarded, and is likely the most consistent. However, all 3 are worth playing. 1 reaches the same highs as 2 at times. 3 really shines when it deviates a bit from the formula of the other games. Still distinctly the same game, but clearly making an effort to not just retread old ground.

I had never played them until a year ago, when I played the whole trilogy straight through on PC, and they completely blew me away.

The first real mission is Paris. It's one of my absolute favorites in the trilogy, and really shines on replays, especially once you've grown more accustomed to the game.

Anyone else notice that if you lift weights daily the difference in arm size between cold flexed and pumped flexed shrinking? Normally the difference for me is at least half an inch. This morning I measured 14.75 cold then after a lift was barely over 15.

They are called the J clips

and yeah, that sucks man. Have definitely had some shit fucked up before due to weird alignment of stuff. One of the racks at my gym often gets crooked cause people rerack the bar with a shitload of weight on squats and stuff by violently slamming it back in a it pushes it a tiny bit on the side it impacts each time
I noticed today using the same bench that one of the j clips was like half an inch plus farther forward than it should've been, so that definitely happened here.

The other day I was benching 225 for reps without a spot and was feeling fantastic on my 15th rep. Like I thought I could get a new pb and get 17 good. I'm not exactly sure what I did, buy somehow the bar just came up weird and got hooked under the rack (what the hell are the things the barbell rests on called) which for some reason had a lip on the bottom.

In the 5 seconds it took me to get the bar free (because I was too dumb just to do a half rep) I blew all my stamina and couldn't even get the rep. Got to do the fun activity of rolling the bar down my body to get free.

Ive been shortening my rest periods, throwing more reps at it to take lifts to failure, and adding in a couple of new lifts lately to try and push it. I've gotten pretty good results out of it relatively speaking, it's more so just the keep doing what I'm doing now. For a few years I was just doing what I was doing and getting great results on the bench numbers and nothing else, but just assumed the gains would come with the strength.

Strength wise, but I am a naturally lanky person for 6 ft, and my arms are like 14-14.5 inches cold, so I'm just at the point where I don't look ridiculously skinny. It's all relative I guess, and I have kind of just accepted that I am a lot stronger than I look. Or at the very least that it will take a year or two for my arms to get where I'd like them to be.

Figured I'd post my current routine. Cardio is daily, the rest is every other day. Bench I do a 5 minute rest period, everything else is 1 minute.

Spinning Bike for 30 minutes
Or
Jogging 2-3 miles

Superset for 3 sets:

Bench press
Dead bug

Standard Curl
Tricep extension

Reverse curl
Dumbbell row

Hammer curl
Overhead press

Skull crusher
Lateral raise

Like I said before, planning to get a trap bar to get back to deadlifting since it's less stressful on my back. Probably just going to superset that with another ab exercise, because I feel supersetting those big compound lifts hurts my numbers, and what's the point of lifting if you don't get to see the numbers go up?

Really struggling to do squats or deadlifts because of a lower back injury, so haven't done it in awhile. At this point just a shitload of cardio and upper body work.

200 lb bodyweight.

Bench press 225 for 16 reps.
Curl 45 lbs for sets of 15.

It's okay, I'm small as hell so you can't even tell I have skipped leg day for a year. Going to try getting a trap bar to deadlift at home since my gym doesn't have one and I get an annual bonus around this time of year.
