Just noticed this too - this is kind of a fallacy. It's taken you 3 years to get to the point where you can get full-time job offers regularly. That's why you have 2 in your lap right now. It won't take you 3 more years to get another.

3 obviously. Not murky at all, especially if the job doesn't start until fall. They won't even notice you renegging. Most education positions get filled like <1 month before the semester starts, based on what my teacher friends tell me.

But even if the first job started now and you ditched in 1 month, it's not that big a deal. You would explain the situation to your boss and give them a chance to retain you. Pretty fair.

It's just less energy dense so it's like more bad stuff for no benefit. Doesn't taste better or anything so really no reason to eat it.

The good stuff has gotten way better tbh, but obv it has gone up with inflation too. Glad there's still low cost alternatives though.

There's no way there's no DLC with the huge # of players they got here. Even if they weren't planning it before, they are def throwing something together now.

It's playing support in an MMO. Some people do actually like that.

Radahn needed only a single nerf, which was those homing meteors. Everything else was hard but doable either doing solo carefully or with a bunch of summons. Just like any other boss but with a cool raid vibe. That meteor was the only really frustrating one-shot BS he had.

I'm not paraphrasing you, just adding my own thought on what the essence of "nerd" humor is. The formula of that joke an inferior person acting defensive and compensating. You could have the same joke with a one armed baseball player or something. But the essence of this joke is that you know both Epona and Torrent and the difference in their abilities, so you can recognize that it fits that familiar formula.

I think what Zelos hit on is the fact that 100% of video game jokes are to validate gamer's insider knowledge. If you don't know that Torrent is the Elden Ring horse and that it can double jump then you're not a gamer and this joke is not for you. By cutting out details you can emphasize that elitism.

The bell towers are genius, I really wish there was a multiplayer focused area like that in ER. That's definitely the biggest negative right now - the game doesn't have much multiplayer itself, but it still pulled people away from the previous games. So there's a bit of a multiplayer void.

I have started to get blue ring summons recently though which is great. I just miss having 5 summons from 3 different factions all duking it out like mad.

Yes to both. Much worse at chess though. I can hold my own but I hate how 1 blunder ruins your whole game.

3 has a totally different level design though, very unlike 1. It's more like Bloodborne.

But all the games blend into each other. They always take the best of the previous and try some new things. That's what makes the series so good. Everyone has their favorite for whatever reason, but you can't deny they're all great. Elden Ring somehow put in so much that it's everyone's favorite.

All the touristy stuff has really nice bike trails. And if it's a nice day in May, there's gonna be more bikers than drivers.

But if you'll be back soon then doing something more chill & walking is fine. I do think Georgetown is really nice to stop by no matter what though.

Bike makes it so much easier to be spontaneous and explore some side streets and such. Besides, the mall is just a giant grass field. Pretty boring to spend hours walking along that tbh. You want to go between the exhibits quickly.

You don't want to cross the river on foot/bike. I'd go by car to see the cemetary. Metro would work too actually.

Also if you want to see the real air & space museum, swing by Udvar Hazy. Should be on your way if you're going west.

Dark Souls 2 is still like a 9/10

American Art is another good quick museum with no reservations. It has the Portrait Gallery which is pretty classic, plus really awesome video art on the top floor (Nam June Paik & others)

Parking decks are decent in general, just pick the first one near your destination. But are you going for a protest, or cherry blossom season? Driving/parking in the city is a disaster those days. Park at a metro in Arlington/Alexandria and take the blue/yellow line into the city instead. Capitol bikes are the best if the weather is fine, since most of the city is in a 2 mile area and there's lots of bike trails, especially in tourist areas.

Do you just want to see touristy stuff? There's a ton of awesome local stuff in DC but you prob can't see it in a half day. If you rarely come to DC then a quick tour of a bunch of touristy stuff makes sense. In about 4 hours you could bike very leisurely from the Capitol through the mall, around BLM plaza (although it's been neutered now), then Tidal Basin (esp if cherry blossom season) & the outdoor memorials in that area towards Lincoln, then take the river trails past the Kennedy Center to Georgetown for lunch/dinner. Explore anything that catches your eye on the way. There's a lot of cool little side gardens and exhibits along the way.

If you can spare 2h for a museum, def do Planet Word. Super modern and innovative interactive AR exhibits in a cool location. Also it's free and doesn't need reservations 1 month in advance (typically).

Also I still don't get why this & Encanto are free on D+ but Jungle Cruise and Black Widow we're $30??

Watched it, was okay. Story was okay (similar but better than Encanto) but dialogue and characters didn't hit with me too well. I'm obv not the target there though. Graphics were really damn good, especially the 2D effects they mixed in. It definitely feels like the movie was designed around the visuals first and the rest was filled in later. The whole fundraising part felt out of place to me.

FFX Remastered. Got to Sin and stopped for some reason. Of course I've beaten the original like 8 times.

Did a clean sweep of Limgrave bosses at lvl 40 before moving on to the next area. All I'm missing is the damn Crucible Knight but I'll come back for him.

There is one. But also as far as I can tell you need to have the remedy enabled too. So 2 items to enable someone to easily invade you.

I did get invaded randomly when I was co-oping with a friend though. Really wish there was more since I love that part of the game. I've had my blue ring on forever and never got summoned either. I hope there's an area like the Belfry towers that's just stupid multiplayer fun.
