The actual problem is talking to someone with an actual diagnosis, especially for something like ADHD, and being all "sounds like you're just lazy TBQH" or something like "Just mind over matter. Stop worrying about it".

The problem with "I'm so OCD" people is not only were they never diagnosed, all they were was excessively tidy. People with severe OCD think they have FOXDIE or something. People with severe paranoid, delusional OCD think the tree outside is stealing their energy and that everyone in their house will DIE if they don't point the bible and cross on their nightstand at each other so they intersect over the front door.

Yeah that's kinda how my friend's parents acted. They genuinely scared me at times

I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD (ADD at the time) until I was about 25 or so. As a teen I wasn't ALLOWED a diagnoses. Anytime a teacher suggested to my family that i should see a specialist for my attention issues, they just screamed and swore and threw a giant fit "our boy ain't some <r-word> for your doctors to pump full of zombie drugs!"

If any symptoms manifested at home? Obviously something they could just scream / threaten / beat out of me!

According to google, there's one out of 20 people who got ADHD in Canada. That might seem like a small percentage, but it's still a high amount of neurodivergent people.

Also, some people who claim to have OCD are just perfectionist. I have met a girl whose parents had actual OCD and it was scary as fuck how obessed they were

Oh oof, I dont know about today but I definitely would be making sure a girl was of age if it was on that app. Back when I used it probably a decade ago... it was very obviously had many underage girls. It didnt really seem strictly a dating app because the premise was kinda of "do you think this indivdual is attractive or not?" Then youd get rating. It was kind of was used to feed your ego.

I do still think that if its a app strictly for adults then you shouldnt be punished like this guy was, though not sure if HON has an age restriction.

They probably should put a disclaimer. Don't forget that when we were younger, scandals like that were not known and people were more likely to believe they were telling the truth

The controversial Youtube videos are still up. We dont know yet if she was being literal and not figurative. By that I mean she made real CP. Right now the story is she was referring to the Youtube videos as that but behind the scenes she was sexually abusing kids. That in my opinion should already be enough to lock her up for a long time but story could be worse if she was being literal with that brag.

Gosh. I'd love to understand how people can be apparently so okay with nothing after death, and actually wish for it? Don't you like... existing? I can understand if someone is severely depressed or horrifically injured in some way, and life is more pain than anything else. But besides those extremes, existing is fucking rad! Think about it. In most areas there's something called romeo and juliet law that allow a reasonable age gap. Where you from? It probably exist and 2 years gap is not creepy. When I was in high school a few students in the same classes were literally 2 years older

I have met my 21 bf when I was 29 and I was an intern. Technically the "rule" would have been 21.5. 28 and 20 is also close enough. It's not uncommon for people to go back to school in their late 20s. It becomes rarer past 30

Dunno. I think after 22, it gives a reasonable age range when it comes to stages of life. Sure it's not perfect and even if the "rule" is broken, relationship can still work fine, but in general it makes sense that the reasonable range get higher as you get older
